Anyone pregnant with CFS/ME?

Hi, I’ve had mild ME for years and am almost 6 weeks pregnant. The fatigue that I normally feel has escalated to severe exhaustion. E.g. standing to pick out clothes in the morning is too much for me. I also relied heavily on ibuprofen to control the daily swollen glands and aches but I can’t take them anymore.
Anyone else experienced/going through a pregnancy with ME? Any tips or suggestions?

Yip i know the feeling i was diagnosed 11yrs ago am now 33+5 and some days much better than others. Im off all meds too other than morphine (being monitored) all i can suggest is follow the spoon theory it really does work by putting things into perspective. Rest when u need to but dont ever pish yourself as it buggers up the following days. I wish u well Flowers

Thanks @Flowa79 I’ve been getting extra sleep and trying to rest up. I pushed myself last week and am still paying for it now. I hate taking sick leave from work but there’s no way I could have walked the flight of stairs to my office, let alone been productive!
I pretty much had my routine under control but being pregnant has really thrown my body for a loop. I wasn’t expecting that to happen this quickly! I should have guessed!

Can you speak to your work to help accommodate your symptoms?? Even if it means getting dr note explaining that they exacerbated?? I found i improved during 2nd trimester but am struggling again in 3rd arghhhhh.

I have fibromyalgia and joint hypermobility and I'm pregnant for the first time and about 9 weeks pregnant. I have found myself even more fatigued then usual but then my sleep is worse too and so has my tolerance to eating much which probably contributes to the fatigue. My mum has a juicer and mixed me up some juice to have once a day. Day 3 and it has helped my energy levels quite a lot.

I feel your pain OP. I’m 15 weeks pregnant with lupus. I hve already had to give up work because I’m so exhausted :( sorry you’re suffering too x

Thanks ladies. I have a GP appt on Wednesday to try to get some practical advice and I’m going to ask work for a occupational health referral. Hopefully they might be able to come up with some ideas.
I keep judging myself on my non-pregnant activity levels. It hasn’t quite sunk in yet that I’m going to have to re-learn my limits.
@purplewings101 I’d love to know the juice recipe if your mum is willing to share it Smile
