Hi everyone. I have been on the injection for 4 years, my last one was due on the 3rd of January but my partner and I have decided we are going to try and conceive so I haven't had it. So for about a month I have been taking conception vitamins. Today I took a pregnancy test and the line was extremely faint but could be seen slightly in some lights. I am feeling rubbish (sicky and achey and stomach cramps). I don't really know what to make of it all. Is my body just in withdrawal from coming off the injection or could I actually be pregnant already?! Help! Very confused!!

Post a picture of the pregnancy test

Presumably if you were due another injection on 3rd then you should be covered until at the least the 3rd?
I would wait a few days and re test.

It's so faint it doesn't really show up on photos :/ maybe I am imagining it?!

I can't see anything and does seem very unlikely.

The depo can take into 12 months to come out body (depending on length you were on it) and it was same for me coming off the Nexplanon.

Think it sounds more like your body kickstarting again especially if you had no periods on the injection and kept it upto date.

I hated coming off the implant (it bent during bottle feeding) and went onto the depo once (made me ill) then had to use good old fashion condoms and mini pill.

Keep trying and good luck!

Ps - if line does pop up ♡

I was on the depo and coming off it gave me all sorts of pregnancy symptoms etc, it isn't impossible to get pregnant whilst still on it but very low chance, wait a few days and test again. Good luck. Just brace yourself for lots of horrible symptoms when coming off the depo, just look after yourself

Danic449 · 07/01/2018 22:26

Thankyou :) what sort of symptoms did you have when coming off of the depo? Today I have been really achey and felt very sicky. Had diarrhoea and just generally felt nasty :( how long do the symptoms usually last ?

Personally mine were nausea headaches itchy skin cramps crazy periods mood swings that would have made Freud dizzy.

Also really achy like flu symptoms or actual being hit with a car (which hurts btw)

Danic449 · 07/01/2018 23:19

Oh no Shockwish I never had the depo!! How long did the symptoms last for?

Blue dye tests are terrible. Try a FRER (First Response Early Response). You can get them at boots, Superdrug and probably supermarkets. They are pink dye.

I had lots of nausea, cramps, headaches and the worse one was when I did get my period back I had it every five days and that was for about 3 months. It doesn't happen to everyone, the first time I came off depo I had bad mood swings but was pregnant 4 months later

Danic449 · 08/01/2018 10:22

Okay, thankyou. I wish they told everyone about all of this when they give out the depo! !!
