I’m just curious what people are eating whilst pregnant on an average day. My diet is pretty awful, I’m 20 weeks and still have little appetite... next to zero most of the time.
Today I’ve had...

  • Half a bowl of cereal (couldn’t finish it)
  • tomato soup and bread
  • I will be having sausage casserole in about ten minutes 🤔

Oooo interesting!

Small chocolate muffin (oops)
Small leftover slice of pizza with salad

2 boiled duck eggs
Wholemeal pita bread
2 slices of bacon
MASSIVE chicken salad - lettuce, tomato, avocado, cous cous, new potatoes & creme fraiche
Tea is a chicken roast dinner
Bar of dark chocolate
2 x nutri grain bars

seizethecuttlefish · 08/01/2018 18:01

I'm full of the cold, so not hungry. Probably explains my dizzy spells too. I've had loads of tea, courgette fritters and sweet chilli sauce and an apple. Looking at this, I really need to eat more!

1stX · 08/01/2018 18:06

Peanut butter on banana bread

A bag of ritz crisps and a packet of milkybar buttons. (Busy so couldn’t have a proper lunch)

Soup and a French stick (not all of it obviously)

Today I found Bounty chocolate spread... it is my new favourite thing

thepatchworkcat · 08/01/2018 18:15

Bounty chocolate spread?!?!?

1stX · 08/01/2018 18:18

1stX · 08/01/2018 19:04

@thepatchworkcat I got mine from sainsburys. They also do twix and malteesers.

Does anyone else really struggling with lunches? So fed up with sandwiches

LemonMuffin837 · 08/01/2018 19:10

Two slices of toast.
4 crackers with butter and spreadable cheese.
Strawberries
Banana
About 10 chocolate biscuits
Burger and chips with coleslaw, I did add onion tomato and spinach on my burger to make it a bit more healthy 😂 now craving something sweet.
Cannot stop eating!!!

harrietm87 · 08/01/2018 19:40

I've been starving throughout! Have put on 12kg so far at 27 weeks!

Today I've had:

  • bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes
  • banana
  • chai latte
  • egg & cress sandwich
  • pret red Thai soup
  • heading home to have spag Bol and crusty bread for dinner, with yoghurt and fruit for dessert.

Could be worse I suppose.

BigBaboonBum · 08/01/2018 22:51

Today I had:

  • McDonald’s chicken burger
  • itsu Udon noodles, tofu/chicken
  • fish & chips with peas

Bibijayne · 09/01/2018 12:31

So far today?

3 tomato Heinz cup-a-soups.

I seriously cannot get enough tomato at the moment.

Kittypillar · 09/01/2018 14:10

Yesterday (for full day of food as a reference):

  • Special K in the morning before walk to work
  • Apple
  • Chicken salad. Pineapple for after.
  • Salted popcorn and a small pot of jelly
  • Meatballs, mash and veg for dinner
  • Chocolate. Really went off it during the first few months of my pregnancy but starting to get back into it now... Ate about a third of a sharing Dairy Milk bar. Ooops.

Not too bad I guess but I feel constantly hungry right now Confused

harrietm87 · 09/01/2018 17:17

@Kittypillar I went completely off chocolate as well and it still hasn't come back - I'm 27 weeks! How far along are you? Also off cakes, biscuits and other dessert type things - guess it's a good thing though I've been craving fruit so still having plenty of sugar!

Hulaballoo · 09/01/2018 17:23

B: Multi grain hoops
S: scone with jam and cream
L: tuna sandwich with a bag of crisps, satsuma
D: chicken fajitas, corn on cob, salad with carrots, cucumber, red peppers...
P: rice pudding with apple.
Feeling far too full though urgh

Rae2017 · 09/01/2018 17:26

I've gone complete opposite @harrietm87. Before pregnancy I preferred savoury over sweet but now can't get enough of chocolate and cakes!

Snozwanger · 09/01/2018 18:06

35 weeks here. Today I've had:

Bowl of muesli
Cup of tea and small orange juice
1/4 avocado on toast
Small slice honeydew melon
About 4 homemade chocolate bendy cookies!
Glass of grape juice

It was all going quite healthily until the cookies then I felt sick. Quiche mash and veg for tea in a bit.

Can't fit much food in these days so will be glad of the extra room in a few weeks.

Snozwanger · 09/01/2018 18:07

Oh, forgot I had a yoghurt too!

harrietm87 · 09/01/2018 18:33

@Rae2017 your body plays weird tricks on you doesn't it?! I was a complete chocoholic before pregnancy and then it totally repulsed me for about the first 16 weeks. I can eat it now (I've kept trying!) but just don't ever really fancy it.

Girlwiththearabstrap · 09/01/2018 19:48

I'm honestly a bottomless pit atm!

Overnight oats with Greek yoghurt and raspberries.
Apple and carrot sticks
Jacket potato with chicken and light mayo. Rocket and spinach on the side.
Banana
Fish pie with carrots and green beans

I'm going to have a cup of tea later and a couple of tangerines if I'm hungry.
