Argh... I've caught a horrible cold, cough, stuffy blocked nose...Etc feel rubbish so of course a cold sore has joined the party. Anyone know what I can take? I normally take 500mg Lysine and use Lysine lip balm.... Not sure these are still ok?

as far as I recall from my naturopathy training, Lysine is safe to take in pregnancy for cold sores. It’s found naturally in a lot of foods anyway. If you are really worried ask your doctor or pharmacist though they don’t often have a lot of nutrition training.

Thank you, I think I'll do the lip balm it's just the mg amount I'm not sure about...😳

Google foods rich in lysine.... and low in Argenine (lysine suppresses Argenine which I think can aggregate cold sores) cheese, nuts, lentils, turkey from what I remember!

Check with chemist in case there is added stuff in the lip balm or treatment you can use.
