I’m 23 weeks and since the last few weeks the ache coming from the stretching from pelvis to belly top is daily, sometimes all day, and at times feels almost unbearable and had to breathe and feels like everything is stretched to an absolute limit. Walking for more than 10 min is very hard because of these sensations. Feels better when sitting or lying down. I read about ligament pain but it’s described as sharp and short, mine is dull and ongoing. Is it still considered ligament pain? And most importantly how to ease it?

Sounds a bit like SPD?

Does the pain travel around the hip area and ache more than sharp pains?

Contrary to myths you can get it no matter your shape or size. As for easing it - warm microwave pillows, hot water bottles, also speak to midwife for referral to maternity physio who can help with support and exercises.

No, not really around the hip area, only the belly , feeling of explosion, extreme stretching, bursting kind of pain. It actually feels easier to walk if I bend my body a bit forward - like the old grannies walk!

Trying to remember from first pregnancy in 2014 what round ligament pain felt like - a mix of cramp and weird tug of war between my hips.

Doesn't sound like anything major bit if worse then call number on your notes etx

Am only around 8 weeks and get a slight pain in my belly (like a period pain) I've read that it's meant to be normal as everything is starting to expanding. I am waiting for a call for my 1st midwife app but just wondering if it was normal to feel it every now and then.

I'm 8+5 now and those aches are normal, think our womb is about a grapefruit size right now and I can defo feel it above my pubic bone when I lift a leg into bath etc.

Some of those weird stretch pains are owie tho!

Thank you i was a little scared at 1st as my sister said she hasn't really had much pain in her 1st 12 weeks

I'm 22 weeks and have been having that horrible stretching feeling for 1-2 weeks. It doesn't exactly hurt but definitely feels like the skin is about to rip open, every sitting or standing position is uncomfortable and can't take a deep breath.
