How accurate we're your nub theory predictions?

I'm only 10 wks of so haven't had my dating scan yet. Didn't find out sex of either of my two DSs but keep seeing nub theory posts and it got me thinking.
For those who are further on and have found out baby's sex at a scan or have since given birth how accurate we're your predictions using nub theory.
I'm tempted to dig out my old scan photos in a bit to see if mine would have predicted correctly.

Not sure whether she used nub theory as such (!) but our sonographer said at our 12 week scan (which is of course too early to tell properly) that she was fairly confident (75%+) that I was having a boy. I've had a blood test that says it's 99%+ a girl.

That's interesting! I've never heard of a sonographer telling anyone that early on. Obviously not too accurate in this case!

I posted on strictly nub theory Facebook group, got all boy guesses and had a boy. I think their success rate is something like 90% at the right gestation and with a clear nub view.

franktheskank · 05/01/2018 20:25

I did it with all 7 of mine and it was right every time

zaalitje · 05/01/2018 20:29

Everyone who looked at mine and tried nub theory said girl, subsequent scans say boy.

Nikki2ol6 · 05/01/2018 21:26

The nub theory has to be done between 12+2 and the end of the 13th week. Mine were accurate, all 3 of them, everyone said boy, I did have 3 boys....

BigBaboonBum · 05/01/2018 21:28

Every single one told me girl - and he’s definitely a boy!

Lemontwist · 05/01/2018 22:04

Thanks, these make it sound pretty accurate so far.
Frank right on all 7 - that's pretty convincing then!!

Ok so we don't know and I got 50%boy and 50% girl!! I think it is pretty dodgy personally but it's a bit of fun right?

Oysterbabe · 06/01/2018 05:06

Half the posts you see on here where people are guessing there is no nub visible and people are literally randomly guessing. I believe it's accurate when you can actually see the nub.

Winifredgoose10 · 06/01/2018 07:22

For my first two pregnancies the sonographer told us what they thought at my twelve week scan. Both times they were right. In this pregnancy the sonographer said he never said so early, as only around 75\80% accurate.

Lauraandbump2 · 06/01/2018 08:32

First time using the nub theory we guessed boy and was right. This time round we thought boy again as nub similar and it's a girl!

GeorginaFall · 06/01/2018 09:10

I looked at the sonogram at 10 weeks and, based on the nub theory, thought boy. We are having a boy! Confirmed via blood test. So pretty accurate!

Any guesses on the nub theory please..?!xx
