Trying not to panic

Hi everyone , just looking for someone to calm me down with reassuring words.
I'm 16wks pregnant and I've had some blood when I wiped, now I'm trying to not to panic as this happened when I was 13wks and had a scan and they said that there is and area on my uterus ( I can't remember the word but began with a H) and may bleed again in the future.

So I'm trying not to panic, don't know why I'm posting this really xx

Was it a haematoma?! If so, it might bleed periodically and there is no reason to panic. But call your midwife and ask for advice. Chances are everything is fine but best to get checked xx

Yes that's it, I just couldn't for the life of me remember, im not in any pain or anything, and I'm sat here trying to put my sensible head on as I was told it could happen again, but most of me is just 😩😩😩 I'm seeing midwife Tuesday, so I'm hoping it'll just settle down x

Have a look in your maternity notes. There will a number to call for advice. Don't let yourself worry, it's almost certainly the haematoma. But you needn't wait for your appointment.

I had a subchorionic hematoma and it bled more than once, best thing to do is rest if you can. Call the maternity triage or midwife for peace of mind but mine healed over time.

I did have a little cramping with mine but was probably just tension, and any strain such as sneezing made it worse.

Your midwife may say rest and see how it is in a few hours, but if it really doesn’t seem right or gets heavier quickly i would just call triage and explain. It sounds totally normal and try not to worry but that’s much easier said than done!

I’ve been bleeding for nearly five weeks, since I was 12 weeks. I have a haematoma just above my cervix. It’s horrid and I hate seeing blood whenever I wipe, but so far it hasn’t affected DD at all! (Yes I found out it’s a girl!)

I've got one too, also right above my cervix. I've had a couple of rather large gushing bleeds (which may very well not happen to you as plenty of people never have a big one) since 11.3 and I'm now 16.6 with a very healthy baby. Who likes to cross his or her legs whenever anyone tries to find out if there's a little willy there!

lookingoforthecorkscrew if you don't mind me asking, is your bleeding still quite fresh looking? We sound pretty similar.
