Maternity tights - arrrgghh!

Help!

I am in dire need of maternity tights that stay up! Anyone any recommendations?

I've tried the Emma Jane ones from ASOS. The over bump part stays up but the crotch slides down with every step I take - very unattractive look!

I tried H&M 100 denier ones - they stay up a treat but the legs are clearly designed for a giraffe as I had extremely wrinkly knees a la Nora Batty.

I tried H&M 40 denied ones - the worst of the lot. I can't walk more than 3 steps without them falling down!

Help! I'm at my wits end! I have to wear tights for work, so I'm in them 5 days a week whether I like it or not!

In case it helps, I'm 5 ft 3 and was a size 10/12 before pregnancy. If you're over 5 ft 8 and all legs it might be that the H&M thick ones work for you!

The seams on the boots ones (60 denier) itch my stomach something terrible :(

LittleWingSoul · 04/01/2018 21:44

I also found that Moose but not on all of the pairs I bought from Boots, just the odd one. I nail filed the seam and that helped a little. They are still the best fit though!

Moose23ishungry · 04/01/2018 21:46

Thanks @LittleWingSoul I will try this!!

LemonMuffin837 · 04/01/2018 22:19

I got mine from boohoo, can't fault them

MsJuniper · 04/01/2018 23:09

For me Boots are the best too. Mothercare the absolute worst, like wearing cardboard.

BikeRunSki · 04/01/2018 23:11

Ordinary tights, size bigger, back to front - so your bump is in the bum.

I can't recommend primark more for tights. Not maternity but normal pull in ones I get 80denier I think they're maybe £3.50, in a large size and they are a life saver. They never fall down, they're comfortable and they never ladder

colaqueen · 04/01/2018 23:19

Should specify they're not maternity but I am pregnant and they're PERFECT

I can no longer wear tights without this belt my friend told me about called tights up! It has been a MIRACLE. I hated tights because I was always pulling them up and adjusting them...not anymore! It is an elastic belt that has a grippy back that keeps up leggings or tights. My daughter and I fight over who gets to wear it. I need to just go buy another...I think they have more colours now. I even wear with jeans to keep them up. Has a nice flat buckle so cant even tell im wearing it. pretty sure the website is tightsup.com its been the best purchase Ive made in a long time :)

MumBoss101 · 07/03/2018 19:25

I honestly think Tights Up is the solution to your problem. Even on amazon reviews, pregnant woman are swearing by it! Its amazing

zaalitje · 07/03/2018 19:28

I've got the same problem, h&m are too short and slide down.
Can anyone recommend tights that will fit a size 16 5'10" woman please!

KittyKK · 07/03/2018 19:30

M&S. Never had any troubles with the fit etc and they washed really well

strawberrysparkle · 07/03/2018 19:32

I got mine from next and mothercare, next were probably the best!

Primark are excellent. I bought mine for my last pregnancy and am using them again now. Never bought normal tights from primark so can’t compare them but did buy other maternity tights from other places which were all expensive and useless. Can’t remember the denier but the thicker ones I bought were Better than the thin

BunnyTeapot · 08/03/2018 04:59

Matalan

zaalitje · 08/03/2018 06:53

Vapo where about are you? I've never found a primark with a maternity range, would be interested find one.

lozdaniellexxx · 08/03/2018 10:03

I just cut a little line in my normal ones at the top and they fit perfect :)
