Did your morning sickness gradually fade or suddenly stop?

Hi, I’m nine weeks pregnant this week and since about 4.5 weeks I’ve had horrific morning sickness. All day, every day, resulting in two hospitalizations. Yesterday I felt horrible but today I woke up and so far feel probably 90% normal and it’s weirding me out a bit because I’ve read before that sudden cessation of morning sickness can be a sign of a missed miscarriage (I need to stop reading stuff on the internet, I know).

So my question is did your morning sickness gradually fade or suddenly stop? I’m well aware this could just be a good day and it could be back with a vengeance next week, but curious for now.

Thanks :)

Mine gradually faded from about 10-11 weeks but it does still come and go, at 16 weeks. Not as debilitating as it was though!

Mine seemed to just vanish at 14 weeks. I'd be hospitalised too (at week 11) and lost half a stone in five days, so it was a massive relief when the sickness went.

I’ve had repeated missed miscarriages and not once did my sickness stop. I’m also 9 weeks, I had a scan today and mentioned my sickness had stopped Xmas day and was expecting bad news. Turns out the placenta has taken over xx

Mine gradually faded until it gradually stopped at 17 weeks xx

@tabby* thanks! You’re giving me some confidence. I have a scan Friday and am super paranoid it’s bad news even though I saw the heartbeat in the ER over Christmas. I hadn’t thought the placenta could take over this quickly (and it may not be, maybe tomorrow I’ll be back to sleeping on the bathroom floor again).

This happened to me!!! At 9 weeks! I had hyperemisis and I was bed bound, I couldn’t so much as lift my head from the pillow. I couldn’t drink or eat and I couldn’t even talk to people because of how dizzy and sick and headachey I felt... woke up at 9 weeks and BAM! Gone! I still felt bad (mostly headaches) but I was able to sit up, I was able to walk around and hold somewhat of a conversation. It was absolutely bizarre and I assumed the worst but nope - he is now 11 years old and currently talking to his brother about something he’s building Smile

I was the same yesterday! I told the lady I knew it was bad news and that that was okay. I was so wrong. Fingers crossed for you!
