Pain in hip??

Hi all

for the last week I have been getting a pain in my right hip when I stand for a period of time, feels a bit like a burning sensation that then turns into a sort of numb feeling.

Anyone experienced this or got any idea what it is or how to get rid of it, its hindering my ability to shop!!!

Sounds a bit like a trapped nerve... and as with so many pregnancy niggles is probably related to looser ligaments etc. which allow your lower back joints & pelvis to move more than usual and hence can easily go slightly out of place and press on a nerve. If you can, maybe see a physio (private ones should be able to see you straight away, just have a look in the yellow pages to find one near you) or a chiropractor or osteopath- they will be gentle with you due to your pregnancy so don't be scared! But they can help enormously to manipulate things so that the nerve is released & ease the pain.
