`Hi

I am 22 weeks pregnant today and can feel the baby moving about mainly at night, but no strong kicks as yet - when did anyone start to feel kicks as i would love for my partner to be able to share this experience with me.!!

it varies from baby to baby. you should start getting kicks in a few weeks

Nikki76 · 24/04/2007 21:00

I felt DS kick at 5months but DS couldn't feel it until a good few weeks after that - be patient - it will come and then you will spend entire evenings with your top up going look!! Look what's its doing now!! Its better than TV!

Its brilliant! Its the best thing - I totally loved it, espec when DS got hiccups!! Soooo cute!!

I'm 28 and 3 days, and it's been a month or more since I first was able to feel LO kicking from outside.
Be warned, though - my DH only felt him about a fortnight later; he got very, VERY good at stopping the second I grabbed DH's hand and pulled it onto my stomach! They're more cunning than you think...

conkertree · 25/04/2007 09:04

yup - up until last week (25), lo stopped kicking almost every time DH tried to feel, but this week its responding to him which is really nice - definately seems to react when it hears his voice. sat with t-shirt up all evening yesterday. sure it will get boring one day, but definately not yet

pinkranger · 25/04/2007 09:13

in 23 weeks today and have only really felt him kicking for about 2 weeks but sometimes he does these almighty kicks and you can see them but yesterday he done them loads and Me and DH both felt them!!!!!

Lots of excitment in the pink house last night at 10.30pm

beckmo · 27/04/2007 08:24

I started feeling kicks at 20 weeks but it was 22 weeks before DH felt them...and then they were huge big kicks!DH went from excitement to looking really terrified and quite freaked out!Haven't got bored of staring at my tummy yet (34 weeks) and bambino has just started responding to DH's voice which is lovely....

LUCIA22 · 27/04/2007 08:45

I am 39 weeks and we still havent got bored of lo's gymnastics. DP has got more and more excited by it as the time goes on. We still sit there in the evening watching the bump moving about!!

EmilyandLola · 27/04/2007 11:55

my partner probably touvhed my belly maybe, once, twice at a push through out my whole PG with DD... makes me sad that everyone else shares this nice time

tokentotty · 27/04/2007 11:58

Believe me....in a few weeks you'll be wishing it had never started !!! Once the night time breakdancing routine starts it's all fun from there !!

RGPargy · 27/04/2007 12:17

EmilyandLola - Don't worry, you're not alone! When i was pregnant with my first son, his father was exactly the same. He had no interest in the baby except when we were in public and he would play the role of the doting dad. Thank goodness i have a new DP now!!

Try not to worry about it - it's his loss at the end of the day!!! Find a friend to share those moments with instead. Chin up girlie!!

pedalmonster · 27/04/2007 22:13

Some partners are just like that - remember they don't have the hormones or feel any changes going on - and to them you look normal (ish) too. My DH claims he will bond with the baby once it is born! It did upset me at first because I wanted him to be as excited as I was about the kicking and hiccups etc but a lot of men just aren't - and it does not mean that they are not going to be good dads! They are just men - they can't help themselves! And they are probably terrified, if truth be known!
