Pregnant, have a 5 month old

Hi, this is my first time posting, just hoping for some advice really. I have a 3 year old ds (4 in march) and a 5 month old dd, and thanks to contraceptive failure, I have just found out I am pregnant again. Of course I feel so blessed, but this baby was not planned, and I worry how difficult it will be with a 14 month gap between the youngest two, and feel scared I won't be giving the 14 month old the attention she deserves. It's also the practical things like how will 3 car seats fit in my hyundai tuscon (selling not an option- we literally bought it 4 days ago!). If anyone has any advice I would be so grateful, thank you.

Congratulations! Regarding practicalities, people really have thought of everything already as you definitely won't be the first person in this position. You can even google "hyundai tucson 3 car seats" and there are actually websites where people describe which car seats fit.

Thank you, am of course delighted, but I feel like I've let my youngest down in that she won't have my undivided attention for long, and she already has to share with my son! Thank you for your reply

No advice I'm afraid, only to say that I am expecting ds in April and there will be a 14 month gap between him and DD.

You aren't doing your lo a disservice, he will have a playmate for life, and won't have the cognitive development yet to understand jealousy or that he is sharing you. He will barely remember life without a younger sibling in no time at all.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Thank you, and congratulations on your pregnancy! I hope you are having an ok time of it, especially with all of the stress of christmas! I think guilt just comes with the territory! I would just hate for my littlest one to miss out, but I suppose it's up to us to make sure it doesn't happen! X
