Low lying placenta?

Hi ladies. I’ve just been for my 20 weeks scan and everything was fine but my placenta is low. I’ll be rescanned at 32 weeks and there was talk about a c section if it hasn’t moved - the thought of which terrifies me!!
I wasn’t really told much else other than that. Is it likely it will move or not? Should I be getting used to the idea of a c section or will I be able to give birth still?

Mine was very low and anterior and like you had to be rescanned at 34 weeks
I was told most of the time it moves as the uterus grows
Mine did and baby's head is presenting in front of placenta.
Try not to worry too much, it should move up and there's nothing you can do until that next scan so worrying over something that is out of your control will not be good.
Concentrate on enjoying your pregnancy and good luck

Your chances of the placenta moving are pretty good - I think 9/10 move.

Having said that, I just found out today (32 weeks) that mine hasn't moved and is unlikely to. I'm trying to get my head around that. But ultimately, I have major placenta previa and haven't had any bleeding and baby is growing nicely. Yes, I will have to have a C-section but as long as everyone comes out the other side healthy, I'm going to call it a win!

Mine was found at 20 weeks too, when I got scanned at 34 weeks it had moved :)
