Not quite sure why I don't know this - advice needed! I am 13 weeks into 2nd pg, after emergency section in first. DS 16m. Scar all healed fine but it is really itchy atm.

Should I be using extra moisturiser on it as I get bigger or do i just assume it is fine? Was advised to use E45 at first as it healed.

Worrying over nothing?

Germolene is nice for itches as it has a local anesthetic, don't think it says not suitable for pg ladies.

As the skin stretches it might feel itchy- try using Bio-Oil (available in big chemists or Boots/Superdrug) which is a great moisturiser and especially good for scars and stretch marks! I also had an emergency c-section with DS1 and now 27wks pregnant with DC2 & find Bio-Oil great for dry skin on my bump & the scar. I was also warned I may feel some tenderness or pulling underneath the scar as I got bigger (the scar tissue being stretched) but so far don't seem to have done. Even if you don't use any moisturiser it should be fine, so don't worry (but if you are worried still mention it to your midwife- as you get further on they will ask you sometimes about how your scar feels anyhow!).
