NHS maternity pay and childcare vouchers

Does anybody know what the score is with childcare vouchers during maternity leave as an nhs employee? I qualify for full maternity pay and leave and claim £243 a month in vouchers. I came across an old thread that said in order to maximise maternity pay I should have cancelled my vouchers between 17 and 25 weeks. I’m 22 weeks now 😫
Just wondered if anybody could clarify as I’m reading my policy at the moment and it’s not very clear! My little girl loves her nursery so was planning to send her 2 mornings a week still. She dosent get her funded hours until September. I go on maternity on the 1st May.

It's a bit complicated, but your HR department should work through it with you. I'm NHS and they explain everything to me when I ring up. It's also a little annoying as the old scheme is being replaced with a new scheme so if you cancel the old voucher scheme you'll have to apply on the new scheme
