My mums just ran and sis has had a show just now, shes 40+1

She wants a home birth and we have all been panicking that she will go too far over (like most of the women in our family have) and end up with a hospital induction.

Shes been having strong BH everynight for about a week and yester day had tightenings at the bottom of bump and also pains in her thighs,

ooooh i hope this is it!!! What do you think??

i feel like im gonna cry!!

We brought DS's a trampoline for easter and I asked my doctor weather I could go on it, she said no way not even to bring on labour as it's been know to cause "Placental abruption" just thought you should know!

kittylette · 24/04/2007 22:57

well just got home & shes had another show and shes having pains every 20 minutes!!

im off to bed & hopefully ill get a call later on to go round!

kittylette · 25/04/2007 08:07

dont think anyones interested but ill keep updating anyway ...

she was having pains every 20 mins and had a 2nd show so i went to bed and there was no phone call during the night so i assume they died down,

she has an appointment at the midwives today so im trying to convince her to get a sweep, but she doesnt want one. Not for any moral resons she just doesnt like being examined,

but hopefully i can convince her

any news kitty???

kittylette · 25/04/2007 10:06

hi,

just spoken to her and she had more show at 6am
& 9 am,

shes going to the midwives at 2pm & gas & air is being delivered at 11 just in case

i think shes going to have a sweep but the main reason she is reluctant to have one is that its our Grans birthday tomorrow and she doesnt want to have him on her birthday!

we will just have to see!

pucca · 25/04/2007 10:16

I had a huge show on the Monday and didnt have my ds till the Sunday, was in limbo all week and kept losing my show all the way through.

I was so certain this was it! on the Monday and it was very long and drawn out, have a search in child birth for my name, was a huge thread lol.

kittylette · 25/04/2007 10:22

oh i know it may not mean its 'all go' but its a step in the right direction isnt it?

combine that with the pains shes been having for the last 3 or so days and the fact she may have a sweep today im keeping pretty hopeful

im just relived in a way as its kind of taken the pressure off for a bit, like something is actully happening now - she feels better for that, rather than nothing going on IYKWIM
