VBAC clinic advice

I had an emcs with my first after failure to progress in (spontaneous) labour. When he arrived, he was on the 90th centile and had a massive (like, off the chart) head.

I’m expecting my 2nd and going to the Vbac clinic on Friday. My midwife suggested they may want to do extra growth scans, given the size of my first. Has anyone had any experience of this? Or questions to ask at the clinic?

I do think the continuous monitoring I had upon arrival when in labour with my first (3 hours on my back :-( ) was a big factor in everything slowing down so this is definitely one of my questions, but I don’t want to be unprepared for this...

Thanks in advance for any advice or experience!

I am 29 weeks and I had emcs for failure to progress, was induced 2 weeks past due date.
I have been vbac clinic and they literally just ask your preference and then go through the pros and cons of both with you, its more a standard reading out of all the what could happens for each choice. They were led by what I wanted not othwr way round.
My daughter was 9lb 6.5 oz. I am
High risk due to a previous blood clot in arm and having to inject myself daily but I have not been offered any extra growth scans, although my hospital do a standard 36 week growth scan for everyone.
I am going to try vbac but if I have to have section then what will be will be.

Forgot to say, I am meant to have another consultation in a few weeks to check I havnt changed mind and check all ok to proceed with vbac. But they did say I could still change mind at later date if I really wanted to.

Thank you, that’s really helpful.
