I'm on day 6 of a cold/flu, which is unusual for me. Cold/flus usually only last me around 3/4 days and with ever new day, I feel a bit better. This time, though, I've been waking up from naps/whole nigh't sleeps feeling exactly the same as I did prior - if not worse! Symptoms keep getting better and then worsening again, rotating, and/or getting added/subtracted. Symptoms generally include(d) sore throat (which went from mild to raging - currently raging), migraine (keeps settling down and then intensifying again), blocked/runny nose (started off mild and then generally intensified), cough (only developed the cough to this extent last night). Honestly, during the day my symptoms will seem to improve (the sore throat will feel like it's slowly subsiding), but I'll wake the next morning and it's back to square one (sore throat is raging again). This is very unlike my usual cold/flu course, which steadily improves with every passing day.
Anyone know why this cold is behaving this way/won't budge? Might it be to do with the immune system having a harder time at fighting off illness during pregnancy, or something? Never have I wanted so desperately for an illness to f* off! As I'm pregnant, it's hard not to worry that all this is having an affect on my growing baby! :(
