Bleeding

Hi guys,

I am having a bit of a rough time atm. At 6 weeks I had spotting and an emergency internal scan as I've had a lot of miscarriages before, all was well and baby had a strong heartbeat.

This afternoon when I was having a snack this horrendous cramping pain arrived with a lot of bright red blood but no clots. As it's new years day I drove myself to the hospital and was unable to have a scan. I have to call tomorrow and make an appointment. They did however have an internal look and saw that the cervix is still closed and long which is great.

Am so scared..!! Bleeding hasn't stopped but pain has eased off.

Has anyone been through something similar? There are lots of bleeding posts on here on here but wanted to ask on my individual experience.

I hope to hear from someone soon.
x

How far along are you? I had a big bleed with lots of red gushes at 12 weeks. It was a subchorionic haematoma. In fact I’m 16 weeks now and still bleeding. Baby seems fine!

I'm currently 9 weeks and 4 days.

Did you have any pain as well? I must sound so silly, it's just so worrying x

I did have cramping, and still do, but mild like period pain. I had a miscarriage at 11 weeks earlier this year and the pain was completely different, like labour tbh

I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage, I know how horrible they are. It felt like my previous miscarriages but I passed the sac on those quickly and the bleeding was heavier so it is different.

Keeping everything crossed for tomorrow, thank you for your reassurance and am so pleased your baby is OK :) hopefully I will get the same good news.

What has the hospital told you to do? x

There is literally nothing you can do, except try to carry on as normal (not easy, I know).

Got scan at 1.40pm today so I will know more then.

So damn hard.

Thank you for everything and I hope you keep going well :)
