So many sales...

This is the time of year when there are bargains to be had.

However, I only had my BFP on NYE is it silly to try and buy things in advance in the sales? Will there be bargains to be had closer to my due date in September?

Am I probably overthinking this?

Yes lots of Baby events through the year. I wouldn't buy till had 12 week scan x

ijustwannadance · 01/01/2018 19:35

Don't do it. Far too early imo.
There will be sales in summer.

I wouldn’t worry about it yet. But maybe start putting some money aside for nearer the time.

SweetheartTreacleTart · 01/01/2018 19:36

Yeah I'm sure there will be baby bargains throughout the year. I would say it's way too soon to start shopping now, however if you have the space then go for it I guess. On the flip side, I can see why pp said wait until waiting until 12 week scan.

Up to you, I bought things before I even started trying for DC1. Having the items is not going to harm you, but I imagine if I had kitted out the entire nursery and things hadn't worked out, I'd have been upset.

Think I bought things like steriliser, sling, etc before actually trying. Once definitely pregnant DH refused to let me buy anything until 12 weeks as he was a bit superstitious.

We luckily have the room. DH is very keen to keep everything under wraps till 12 weeks. I want to tell everyone :)

Think I'll start a baby-saving account :)
