Morning vs evening when pregnant

I’m 22 weeks. The way I feel in the morning vs evening is very different.. morning I feel good, very nice and light and almost feeling no bump. From late afternoon and especially in the evening I start feeling heavy, like im exploding, harder to breathe, the bump feels twice as big as in the morning and things like that..what does this happen? Anyone else feels that way?

Bloating?

jusdepamplemousse · 31/12/2017 21:15

Yeah. My bump is tiny in the am and huge by bed. Must be bloating! Am 19 wks. Was the same in my first PG too.

Bloating every day? Caused by whatever food I eat? Happens also when I don’t eat much either .. any remedies?

I had this as well around that time. Ppl used to comment how big I looked and I kept having to say it was bloat. Now at 30 weeks my bump is a consistent size throughout the day.

Arianna1 · 31/12/2017 23:37

So this does go away at some point?

Yes it does but then you’ll find that you get full more easily the further along you get as everything squishes up so eating little but often might be easier.

I think you just get so full and big with baby anyway that the bloat isn’t as noticeable later...!

Such a beautiful time.

Same here op, this is my second pregnancy and I think it's quite normal although in my experience the heaviness gets more and more throughout the pregnancy!

Relaxing2 · 01/01/2018 14:25

I'm nearly 27weeks and I can only eat a sandwich all day and I'm full can't eat nowt else this is me too big belly all day nothing in the mornings

Arianna1 · 01/01/2018 15:07

But then if you don’t eat enough you don’t give enough to your baby..

Really don’t worry about that - the baby will take what they need - at your expense though! - so eat little and often.

I got the exploding feeling really badly with DS, it was horrible so I really sympathise! Ginger supplements worked for me. I'm currently 13wks with DC2 and have been taking ginger since day 1. Although I'm still bloated (and look 6mths by the end of the day!), it doesn't hurt!
