Just complaining in general about feeling like I'll never give birth

I'm 36 weeks pregnant and I honestly feel like I've been pregnant for years. I'm fed up completely. I can't sleep, I feel sick, I have no energy and I feel like I'm never gonna give birth like I'm gonna be pregnant forever. And the thought of going over my due date horrifies me! Everyone says "you should enjoy this time" well I'm not enjoying it, I'm severely impatient and just want to have my baby!

Just lying here with my 1 year old snoring away beside me, taking up half my bed and reminiscing... good luck all!

ellesbellesxxx · 01/01/2018 07:36

I totally remember that feeling.. was induced at 36+3 with my twins.
What I do feel glad about is that I did loads of batch cooking and froze it (which meant all we had to do was defrost something each day, had the house clean and tidy for when we got home and then spent a lot of time watching films and reading books in bed.. which I obv have no opportunity to do now!!
Fingers x all your babies

ellesbellesxxx · 01/01/2018 07:37

...don't keep you waiting too much longer x

Situp · 01/01/2018 07:42

I am 35 +6 So feel your pain!

I think Christmas has made it harder as there is so much I normally do everything is much harder. House is a dump, kids are living on cheese on toast and I am too big to fit in the shower so having to hose myself off in the bathHmm

Hoping that when everyone goes back to school and work I can get a bit more rest and feel less shit!

hlr1987 · 01/01/2018 07:52

Situp- my shower is similarly unsuitable for pregnancy! Only if I go in the bath my toddler strops that she wants to come in too. So sick of being pregnant at 35 weeks, is anyone running on annoyed ALL the time? Everything is irritating. Everything.

RainbowTortoise · 01/01/2018 08:18

36+3 here and feeling similar! My pelvis is so sore, I have put on nearly 4 stone and I just feel huge! Baby still feels fairly high up and I'm getting daily indigestion. Feeling very sorry for myself! Roll on 37 weeks when I can start trying everything possible to induce this baby.

Waitingonasmile · 01/01/2018 09:57

39 weeks tomorrow and section a week later. Was hoping to go into labour but not even a twinge.

katmarie · 01/01/2018 11:45

@hlr1987 Omg I'm so irritated today too. Dog number 1 trod black mud all over the cream blanket I only washed yesterday. Dog number 2 decided to do a massive poo in the conservatory. The whole time I was trying to eat my breakfast the dogs seemed determined to kill each other. My hands are killing me from swelling. I need to Hoover the carpet and sort out my hospital bag and get DP to hang the door into the nursery and a million other things, and I'm so tired, because I got up 400 times in the night to wee. And this baby is still not showing any signs of being born. If I don't snap today it will be a miracle.

Sweetooth92 · 01/01/2018 12:07

40+2 here and very very bored of being asked if he has arrived & told “he will come when he’s ready” I know people mean well but I haven’t even moaned or said I’m fed up so the patronising comments are wearing really thin! If one more person tells me to “hurry up with that baby they’re fed up waiting” they may have no front teeth left. Think me and my husband are ready for his appearance more than everyone else! Just hope he doesn’t drag his heels and need an induction as I really want a home birth and they won’t do it past 40+12. Good luck all-I’m sure it will all be worth the wait even if every day feels like a month

Rhynswynd · 04/01/2018 07:25

I've just had my baby. Little girl called Elizabeth. 41+5 weeks. 9lb 5oz and perfect

Mrstobe90 · 04/01/2018 08:17

Congratulations xx

jellypi3 · 04/01/2018 08:20

I almost cried at my 38w appointment when my MW said "see you in 3 weeks then".

I can't be pregnant for another 3 weeks Sad

Sarahrose21 · 04/01/2018 08:25

39 weeks today and fed up of looking like a beach ball on legs
What I would give to sleep on my belly or back again

katmarie · 04/01/2018 08:30

Congratulations @Rhynswynd !!

Still pregnant here. 38+1... bored now.

hlr1987 · 04/01/2018 08:37

Congratulations! I hope you're both doing well 😀
Had a growth scan yesterday with the words every waddling grumpy pregnant lady wants to hear: "looks like he's had a growth spurt"! No shit, I'm enormous.

StylishDuck · 04/01/2018 09:56

Congratulations @Rhynswynd !

40+1 here. Going for a scan this afternoon to check the baby isn't breech because the MW wasn't sure yesterday at my appointment ShockConfused

My hips are killing me. I can't walk the length of myself without getting out of breath. I'm just generally done in! Had to send my toddler kicking and screaming off to nursery with DH because I literally can't run around after her all day. Feel so guilty because she knows I'm not going to work and can't understand why she can't stay at home with me Sad

smeerf · 04/01/2018 10:23

Just heading to my 34 week midwife appointment. Completing on our new house tomorrow, which needs a lot of work. Simultaneously hating being pregnant and terrified of giving birth. Feeling a bit like I've bitten off more than I can chew tbh.

Last night I dreamt I had the easiest labour and then he fed with no issues, it was so disappointing when I woke up and realised it wasn't real and I'm still a whale 🙈

katmarie · 05/01/2018 08:56

@smeerf I hate those dreams, I keep dreaming that my waters have broken, and then wake up and nothing's happened. So disappointed. I really thought things might have been starting last night, lots of bump tightening and general discomfort but no, nothing.

smeerf · 06/01/2018 08:20

katmarie Sounds like things are getting ready though?

I am the one in my ante natal class group with the latest due date, so I am slowly watching them all have their babies, knowing I'm likely to be last! The weird bit is, 3 out of 9 babies have arrived so far and all three were early... so maybe that trend will continue?

katmarie · 06/01/2018 17:56

@smeerf

I think things are getting ready, but from what I've read it could still be days yet, or even weeks! Baby is still resolutely in situ and all the tightening and stuff seems to have stopped completely. I'm going to be pregnant forever, I know it!

katmarie · 06/01/2018 17:57

@smeerf I'm also last in my antenatal class, everyone else has had theirs! The baby pictures on the group chat are lovely but I am a tiny bit jealous!

thingymaboob · 06/01/2018 18:06

39+1. So sick of pregnancy.

katmarie · 09/01/2018 08:02

38+6. Still pregnant. I can't sleep but I'm continually tired. Getting all kinds of muscle twinges but nothing concrete. Definitely starting to think this baby is going to have to be evicted rather than coming on it's own.

owltrousers · 09/01/2018 10:00

39+5 and feeling done in, so bored of being so immobile and sleepy all the time! My sleep is rubbish at night and my hips ache so much.

I just want to meet our baby now! Is everyone else taking every little symptom as a sign? I felt especially tired yesterday and therefore convinced myself that this must mean something!

Also I am obsessed with checking this - datayze.com/labor-probability-calculator.php

Lauren83 · 09/01/2018 10:09

I'm now 39.1 and 24 hours into my induction, 3 pessaries and 4 internals later no ones been able to find my cervix yet so everyone's really confused, waiting to see if the consultant can find it, if he can't then they are talking about a section
