Could I be?

I had unprotected sex last Saturday. I am on the pill but have missed a couple this month.

Since the day after I have had on/off light bleeding and for the last few days niggly abdominal cramps. Yesterday I noticed my breasts were sore and my nipples looked larger than usual.

Could this be signs of pregnancy after only a week?
I hadn’t had sex for months prior to this so know it couldn’t be from another occasion.

It’s unlikely that you would be getting any symptoms this early and the symptoms you describe could easily be caused by a due period. Wait a week and take a test.

Its too early to tell ans symptoms wouldnt come through so quickly anyway.

Wait till a day or two after your period is due and take a test if it doesn't arrive as unprotected sex (forgetting to take pills) can lead to pregnancy.

Trouble is, I never get periods on the pill. So I have no idea when it would be due and I never get cramps or sore boobs at any point in the month which is why I’m a little worried.
Seems too early but you do hear of people who had very early signs ...

You don't here of signs 11 days after sex

Wait until your period is due to check

You can also get some apps or even set an alarm reminding you to take the pill that are very useful (unless you want to get pregnant)

Thanks Sparkly. I’m normally very good, and the sex was completely unplanned and booze involved. Feel very foolish I can assure you....

It’s because “pregnancy symptoms” are totally normal second half of menstrual cycle experiences so people who actually become pregnant attribute them to the pregnancy, even though they’re not. It’s too early for symptoms.

You’ll need to wait and do a test. That’s the only way to know. Also, consider changing contraception to a coil or implant to avoid this situation in the future.

If you don't get periods then I would test just over 2 weeks after you had unprotected sex.

SparklyMagpie · 31/12/2017 16:20

I get that OP,I've been there in the past when it's just blind panic so I understand

Just wait till your period to test :) x

SparklyMagpie · 31/12/2017 16:21

Or even better like the above OP said, wait at least 2 weeks if you don't have periods
