Driving when Bump's 1 inch from steering wheel - Safe?!!!

Wondered if any1 knew if it's safe to drive when your bump's so close to the steering wheel.
If there's a crash would the seat belt stop me from bashing wheel?
Would Airbag cushion bump?
Should driving be avoided at my size (39 weeks)?
Thanks
Mazza

Mazza, it's not very safe I'm afraid, but I experienced something similar. Is there any way you can move the steering wheel in towards the dashboard or move your seat back a little bit but so that you can still reach the peddals?

As you're 39 weeks are you needing to use the car much at the moment?

Hope all goes well.

How is your bump anywhere near the wheel?! Mine was miles away! You must sit very close to the wheel and that's not very safe in itself.

I'm a bit of a shortarse which is why I'm so close to the wheel.

I just have a few things I wanted to buy (I'm kind of a last minute person) but I live in a small village so I need to drive to get to a shop bigger than a "local shop for local people". I could get a bus or train but I'm having hip issues and get cramp in my groin which is not very helpful when trying to walk further that a couple of mins. Tch! Not long now tho.

Poor you, I'm not tall either and it was only the other day that I realised quite how big I was when I was pg! I also could hardly move so you have my sympathies. All I could do was push the wheel away from me a bit which did at least give me a couple of inches and I could still steer reasonably comfortably.

Hope you don't have to wait too long!
