Been put under a consultant

Hi ladies, bit in the dark here. I am 14+3 and the midwife at my booking appointment put me under the care of a consultant because I am deemed as high risk. I was under the impression that I should be getting a letter in the post with an appointment but haven’t head anything and that was over a month ago. How long did you guys wait? Or do they wait till you get closer to giving birth? I haven’t been told anything. Confused.

I'm currently 17+1 and had my first consultant appointment 13 December, so was roughly 14+2 then.. it could be that due to Xmas the clinics have been closed, but I imagine that you should have received a letter by now.. I got my first appointment confirmation when I went for my 12 week scan/tests so I would check with your MW.. x

I'm consultant led due to previous caesarean - my first appointment isn't until 25 weeks! Could well depend on the reason for being consultant led though.

im under consultant again and havent even had my booking appointment yet lol

if your in England its probably diffrent up from Scotland but we find out at 20 week scan when we meet our consultant and are made aware that we will be induced or can be if complications - also that we may not get our consultant but a colleague and any request for male/female must be done there and then but not always guaranteed.

I’m consultant led and had an appt at 16 weeks and 36 weeks.
The 16 week one I got a letter through around 12 weeks. 36 week was booked at the 16 week one.
I’m high risk due to previous section, large baby, pph, possibly my weight also.
16 week one was just a general chat about how I want to deliver this baby, giving me an appointment to discuss previous birth in more depth with someone which I had around 28 weeks. 36 week appt was to confirm delivery.

I didn't receive a letter for a consultant apt, I just saw them at my 12 week scan after the midwife had done all of the urine tests etc. TBH I didn't really see the point of him until I was 39 weeks and I needed him to decide what to do in terms of delivery. I suppose every trust and hospital would be different though!

I'm consultant led and will meet them for the first time at 19+5.

I got a strange appointment letter which was basically a booking appointment letter with the word "midwife" crossed out throughout and replaced with "obstetrics department", which I think means I'm under a consultant but not sure why! My appointment is for when I'm 14+2, I received it at 11 weeks or so.
