I'm 14+2 and been very lucky with my skin my whole life (and throughout the pregnancy) however I woke up this morning (or maybe just noticed them for the first time) but my entire face is covered in tiny little red pimples, worse towards my chin and jawline. I'm not very pretty anyway but this is making me look hideous - what happened to "glowing?!" Grin

Anyone else suffer with horrible skin and what did you do to combat it? I drink lots of water anyway, and always take my make up off and moisturise, but I don't think that's cutting it!
Many thanks!

Me, but I had acne pre-pregnancy anyway so it's just stayed the same really. I'm 24 and have been struggling with acne on and off since I was about 12 and nothing's really drastically helped and obviously now I can't use any medicated products on my skin or orally. So unfortunately I don't have any advice for you Sad. Having said that, I've been severely ill with HG for the last 2 months so my acne has been the least of my worries and does help to put my worries about spots into perspective a bit. I know it can really affect your self-esteem though, it does for me - I am genuinely anxious about returning to work in a few weeks when I'm well enough because my acne has got worse whilst I've been off on the sick due to not being well enough to take care of my skin at all, eek. But in reality nobody even cares or probably even notices so I try and remind myself of that.

I have really bad rosacea which had got worse during pregnancy as can't take my medication. I just invested in some make up until i have the baby so i'm not as self conscious!
Can go back on pill then which will help, and medication after i'm done breastfeeding at 6 months

My first sign of pregnancy was a major eruption of acne - that was what caused me to take a test! It has calmed down now though (albeit leaving me scarred). I'm not sure there's a lot you can do. Hormones have minds of their own. A friend had bad acne in pregnancy and afterwards having never had a spot in her life. It cleared up with Roaccutane but obviously that's not an option during pregnancy.

I’m the same, 13 w 5d and have had really bad spots on my face the past couple of weeks!
Never suffered from this before so went into town yesterday and invested in some heavy concealer 🤦🏼‍♀️ definitely not experiencing any glow lol

Not sure if this helps but in all my pregnancies I had acne in first half but lovely skin in second half. It's a hormonal thing.

Yes! I never even had spots as a teenager but now I have spots popping up around my mouth, nose and forehead. I'm 18 weeks and hope it settles soon. Blooming awful rather than blooming!

My skin went crazy this time around too, never had a problem with previous babies. I switched to gentler products and skin has improved a lot. I'm now using the Toleraine range by La Roche Posay and it's calming everything down.
