Hi this is my 3rd pregnancy and I'm currently 35 weeks to the day. I was admitted to hospital 2 weeks ago with a positive ffn test (The test that's determins how likely you are to go into labour within the next 2 weeks) they have 2 doses of steroids kept me for 48 hours and sent me home again. Then on Xmas day I started to get this God awful lower back pain a bit like period pains but 10 fold. Boxing day I started getting intense but irregular tightenings about every 3 hrs and only lasting a maximum of 20secs these continued throughout the night and I to next day but by early morning they were closer every hour and a half and lasting 30 to 40 seconds. So I but the bullet called my local maternity triage and due to having a history of pre term babies and testing positive Etc they asked me to go down to be checked over. At the hospital the contractions grew to every 50 mins and the back ache never left. They put me on the monitor but no signs of uterine activity were detected the Dr examined me and performed another ffn test. The test was positive again and I was informed my cervix was soft but that was it. Dr said I was in pre labour and actual labour could be anything from tomorrow to weeks away and gave me a choice of staying in hospital or going home with pain meds. I opted to go home having 2 children at home waiting for me.
Although this is my 3rd pregnancy my son is mine and I can't remember what I did yesterday let alone 9 years ago so can't remember much of the days leading up to having him and my daughter is 3 but she had so much going on with her that I spent the entire pregnancy worrying rather than paying much attention to going on with what my body was doing. I'm waffling on a bit sorry but I guess I'm asking if anyone has any advice as to when baby may come or if they have been through anything similar
