I'm 16+6. Heard a lovely heartbeat at 16 week scan. Midwife said I will feel baby move soon but nothing yet.
When did everyone else start to feel?
I've been told it can feel like air bubbles popping in your belly!

I felt the air bubbles at 13+3 then nothing until I started feeling kicks at 16+3. I know that's early esp for a first pregnancy but it's twins so I just figure that there's a bit less room in there! I feel them everyday now.

It's not very strong yet (17+6 now), I'm looking forward to when my OH can feel it too!

I started feeling almost like a muscle twitch from I guess around 18 weeks but wasn't sure what it was until I felt him properly at 19 weeks. By 20 weeks I had fairly regular, obvious movements but would still go days without feeling anything. It's only really now at 25 weeks that I feel him move whenever I'm sat still. I remember feeling desperate to feel him move and it's wonderful when it does happen - enjoy x

Ooo this post is interesting. I’m 18w today and desperate to feel something, but nothing yet!

BexleyRae · 28/12/2017 09:32

I was about 17 weeks, it started with a popping bubble sensation and then felt like a goldfish was flopping about. And eventually as DD got bigger, like she was trying to push her way out of my stomach, but she was back to back so maybe that's not too common

NC1990 · 28/12/2017 09:33

19 weeks for me when I first felt the 'bubbles' sensation and by 22 weeks I could see the kicks on the outside. Towards the end I was karate-chopped on an hourly basis (and she is the same outside the womb, wriggles non-stop!).

BunsOfAnarchy · 28/12/2017 09:41

Nothing till after my 20 week scan. Disnt eveb have a bump till after 20 week scan also.
Started as little bubbles, similar to some digestion feelings lol. Then slowly more and more till it's jabs and full on weird movements. But. I have an anterior placenta so my placenta is at the front acting as a cushion hence why my movements are not as visible and I didnt feel them for a while.
Currently 26+6 and had a rib jab from baby as I type lol.

MegEmski · 28/12/2017 09:49

I think I just felt the air bubbles thing but it's hard as it could just be digestion!

BunsOfAnarchy · 28/12/2017 10:03

It depends. I knew mine wasn't digestion because of the regularity of the bubbles and also because they were so low down. I think you feel baby!

ClareB83 · 28/12/2017 10:33

If it's bubbly and like fish flopping and unlike your normal digestion feelings (or normal for pregnancy) it's probably baby!

Iwantaunicorn · 28/12/2017 10:37

I felt air bubbles at around 14 weeks, then nothing until about 18 weeks. Twin pregnancy though, so maybe as pp said felt movements earlier as less room 🙂

lampert · 28/12/2017 12:06

I have felt two little pings this morning that felt like teeny muscle twinges really low down my tummy. Could that be the baby?

BunsOfAnarchy · 28/12/2017 12:22

I'm gonna say yes it is the baby lol. I'm only going by the fact that you're feeling it really low down. Say hello mama!

emvy · 29/12/2017 09:32

It certainly could be lampert! My first movements were really low, around the pubic line, and felt like that. Exciting!

Kittypillar · 29/12/2017 10:02

@lampert the first movements I felt I mistook for muscle twinges. Then as the week went by, it started to become more distinct and now also feels like popcorn is popping in my stomach. Started around 17-18 weeks pregnant and now I'm feeling them quite a lot now :)

EastDulwichWife · 29/12/2017 10:18

From 16 weeks I could feel flopping and muscle twinges. Now at 18 weeks I feel the baby daily, and my DH even felt a wriggle this morning with his hand on my belly! I was surprised to feel such distinct movement so early, but we have a real wriggler (to the irritation of every sonographer... Grin)

EastDulwichWife · 29/12/2017 10:19

Sounds like baby @lampert!

JaneEyre70 · 29/12/2017 10:23

I think it was around 16 weeks first baby but much earlier with subsequent babies. We're all different though and it was a very strange sensation of air bubbles/butterflies as opposed to the later kicks and flips that you can feel.

CL1982 · 29/12/2017 10:27

Nothing here until 22 weeks but I have an anterior placenta and had no idea what i was supposed to be feeling!

amysaurus87 · 29/12/2017 10:37

First pregnancy here, felt my first movements at about 16weeks, felt like popcorn popping. Now at 24+5 And the kicks are definetly getting stronger, hubby can feel them and I can see the movement from the outside.

lampert · 29/12/2017 11:58

Aww I’m excited now! Thank you! I felt a couple more last night but nothing today yet so hoping I didn’t imagine them!

Newbiebaby1 · 29/12/2017 13:22

I’ve had a couple of feelings that I have wondered if it is baby but I have no idea what I’m looking for. I’m 19 weeks today. I get a weird possibly crampy with no pain and a bit of a tingly sensation just under where my the bottom of my bra would be but again no idea if that’s anything. I wish I could feel something obvious

Beansprout30 · 29/12/2017 20:42

With my first I didn't feel anything till about 23 weeks, anterior placenta, she never really moved - certainly makes up for it now she's out though!

I'm 19 weeks with second and am yet to feel anything...

Isitwinteryet · 30/12/2017 00:24

Mine was the evening of my 20 week scan. It was an amazing feeling!

ziggymarl · 30/12/2017 01:27

I felt the"bubbles" from 18 weeks on. (Im currently 19w) and I feel them everyday.

The best way to describe it(without being incredibly cruel) imagine a gold fish in a ziplock bag full of water. Twisting, turning and doing a bunch of flips!

I learned to differentiate it from normal stomach gas etc by seeing how the rest of my body acts and it is always in the lower part of the belly(if you've had scans, exactly where the sonographer has scanned you)

MissYeti · 01/01/2018 23:41

My first movement was at almost 17 weeks but I didnt feel consistent movements until late 18, early 19 weeks. At 24 weeks now and I feel him move on a daily basis :)

It feels an awful lot like muscle twitches to me but ive heard people refer to it as bubbles and popcorn popping
