Hi all,

I'm 38+6 and I'm getting mild like pains in my pelvis area, getting pressure whenever I walk and belly has been really hard over last few days. I'm really struggling to do anything at the moment without being in discomfort or struggling to breath. And I am soon tired even if I have slept for ages.
Could this be the start of early labour or is it just me getting my hopes up ?

I am also getting pain in my upper and lower back that is really painful and I'm having to use deep freeze to ease the pain

Hi it could be baby dropping I had a really hard time breathing and then felt like I was balancing a watermelon between my legs and then a mixture between the two. It's fairly common towards the end of pregnancy (of course if there is anything you are worried about call a midwife for reassurance)
I'm currently in early labour 3cm and feeling arse ache / period pain definitely feels different from the past week. Just check up with your midwife at next appointment.

Hi. I'm 38 weeks on Friday and have had similar pains when walking. My midwife said it was the baby's head engaging and putting pressure down there. Also been having period like pains, something I need to ask midwife about when I see her on Friday.

Thank you I haven't got midwife appointment until next Wednesday so will ask her then.

I'm 38+2 days and am also easily exhausted. A trip to argos today with the kids meant I needed a 2 hour nap when I got back!

With my first, labour started within a few hours spontaneously and I knew... There wasn't a slow build up or anything.

Good luck OP, hope it happens for you soon.
