Pink discharge early pregnancy

I am about 5 and a half weeks pregnant with my first child. As I used the toilet I wiped and there's a small amount of pinkish discharge. Wiped a couple more times and there was a bit each time I wiped. I showed my husband and he said it definitely doesn't look red like blood. I'm so anxious(we were trying for 3 years) please can someone tell me this is normal

I had this at 10 weeks and it turned out to be fine. Best to check with your GP just in case x

It's very common to bleed in early pregnancy, but always worth getting checked. Get yourself referred to early pregnancy unit for a scan to ease your mind

I had that, it was horrid and scary. But everything was fine

Any news, OP?

Since I posted there was nothing more so didn't bother with gp. Had a bit of brown discharge last night but such a small amount- not in knickers just when I wiped- spoke to a midwife who told me not to worry. Gonna go gp next week anyway so gonna mention it there but think everything ok for now. Trying not to worry but I get anxiety every time I go to the loo cause I'm so scared about miscarriage because we were trying for so long. Think I'll feel better after first scan... just 6 weeks to go 😂😭
Thanks :)

That is good news. I know exactly what you mean about the anxiety - we ended up paying for a private scan at 8w to try and put my mind at rest. It kind of worked Confused best of luck to you x

I was like that with my first, we had been trying for 10 years and had been told we won't be able to have any, I fell ill then pregnant (blood transfusions and lumbar puncture type ill).

Just try and relax and pinkish or brown discharge are common itsonly red that's possibly a problem. We call it knickerwatch!

Had a bit more brownish and pink in the last few days so spoke to doctor who sent me for an early scan.
Just got home from the scan and my Little bean was perfect in the right place with a healthy heart beat. So relieved and glad I went for the appointment. Feel like I should be a bit less anxious now :)
Thanks for all your advice guys :)
