Is it normal to feel THIS exhausted?

I'm 20 weeks pg with DC2. It's been a hard pregnancy so far with hyperemesis and lots of time off work spent in bed.

I'm over the worst of the vomiting but the nausea is still strong. Kept at bay to some extent with medication.

Low blood pressure is normal for me, but it's got much lower in pg. lots of checks and blood tests and docs aren't concerned. My iron levels and all other bloods come back fine.

However, my exhaustion levels are absolutely through the floor. I've never felt anything like it. I'm so exhausted I could cry and I can barely function. I feel like I'm constantly battling a heavy weight pushing down on me.

We've had a very relaxing Xmas, no rushing about, lots of rest, so I thought I'd feel better. But not even close.

This can't be normal can it? Has anyone else experienced this? What helped?

I spent much of my first pregnancy going to bed at 7. I didn't have that luxury for the subsequent pregnancies. However I did catnap and amazingly even 5 minutes helped. (Do check that you are not anaemic however).

Did they check your thyroid and B12 levels? I felt like that in my second pregnancy but I had undiagnosed pernicious Anaemia (inability to absorb B12). I wish I had tried harder to find out the problem but everyone told me the exhaustion was normal.

Hopefully there is nothing wrong for you, but worth making sure what blood tests were done.

Sorry I noticed that you are not anaemic.

Thanks for your replies - I know my thyroid is normal but not sure about the B12, will ask. Off to google pernicious anaemia

Im glugging floradix which I think is helping. Body absorbs it so much easier than some pregnancy pills.
