I knew almost instantly (before I had missed a period) - metallic taste in the mouth

speakout · 28/12/2017 15:47

None. It was OH that guessed- and I was 15 weeks pregnant.

Not a scoobie.

flutterby12 · 28/12/2017 15:56

I had cramping, so similar to the 'coming on' cramps that I kept saying to DH 'I wish this period would hurry up, I've been feeling like I'm coming on for ages' he asked could I be and I aid no. I'd started my new job and they all laughed and joked at me that I'd be off soon to have a baby. It wasn't until I was on my way home that I realise I was a good couple of weeks late. BFP! I was astounded. DS now 13 months 😊

flutterby12 · 28/12/2017 15:56

And then when I did know, Christ my boobs were so sore!

EastDulwichWife · 28/12/2017 16:00

I had weird sharp cramping that I assumed was my period coming. Also hot flushes (so bad I had to stand naked at the window one morning).

CrossFreelancer · 28/12/2017 16:00

I was really really really thirsty in the early few weeks of both my pregnancies.

Tillymintsmama · 28/12/2017 17:24

I tested on the day my period was due; I can't give you any scientific reasons, but I just knew, even tho I hadn't been 'TFAB' and had only had 1 episode of UPSI. The test looked negative but I fished it out of the bin about 10 minutes later to see a feint 2nd line. DD is now 9 years old Grin.

ProfessorWaffle · 28/12/2017 17:39

I also remember feeling weirdly bloated - couldn't pull my stomach in

TurquoiseDress · 28/12/2017 18:42

For me I didn't feel any different to any other month when AF showed up.

The only thing that made me realise almost for certain was that my temps were still high and hadn't done the pre-AF dip.

Pretty much knew I was pregnant before testing 3 days after AF was due.

herecomesthsun · 28/12/2017 20:22

I felt nauseous from day 1 of missed period, with dd tested on day 1 and got a positive.

PieAndPumpkins · 28/12/2017 21:23

I've never been so aware of my body. I've actually felt ovulation the last few months. Will post back if I notice any 'signs'! Baby dust for both of us, Pinky Star

FartnissEverbeans · 28/12/2017 21:52

I got period pains that wouldn't shift for about five days. When I googled I realised they could be implantation pains and my test was positive. The pain continued and got really bad, to the point where I was vomiting. All was fine though

PinkyPromise77 · 29/12/2017 00:17

How soon did you notice those pains FartnissEverbeans?

OP posts:
FartnissEverbeans · 29/12/2017 11:23

By the time I got to the dr I was six weeks pregnant so the pain must have started around 4/5 weeks.

Kit1411 · 29/12/2017 19:56

Did anyone have any brown/pink spotting early in pregnancy?

TeaAndToast85 · 29/12/2017 20:14

I had some pinkish spotting at around 6/7dpo, got really excited, and then the bleeding went red the next day - it was the final day of our holiday in Greece, and I walked around with a face like a slapped arse all day. A day or two later it occurred to me that this early 'period' had never completely got started, and had now stopped entirely. I started to hope again, and used an IC with FMU, saw a shadow of a line. Am now 23 weeks. In those early days I had no symptoms at all. Best of luck xxx

choccybiscuit · 29/12/2017 20:17

I dry up down there just before i have my period, but when i saw white discharge I just knew.

PinkyPromise77 · 30/12/2017 03:51

So not trying to read too much into that but I’ve just had been feeling off... just emotionally and had a meltdown today for no apparent reason 🙈 and felt a bit nauseous a couple of times but it’s still too early to test (6 DPO) so trying hard not to be looking for things that are not there but it’s soooooooo hard 😂

Geobaby · 31/12/2017 08:59

With my first pregnancy I acquired an Amazing sense of smell and normal smells would make me retch. One very sore boob and then implantation spotting (which I thought was start of period). Got feint bfp a day before period due. With my second, the early symptoms were masked by a tummy bug and long haul business travel! Tested BFP around day that period was due.

DancerOnIce · 31/12/2017 09:06

I’m glad some of you had no symptoms... I’m now 8 weeks and getting really worried as feel like any symptoms are now really mild or imaginary

Sparklywino · 31/12/2017 11:13

Geez I was rubbish. Not trying so wasn't looking for signs. Really sore and swollen and itchy boobs.Even changed my washing powder as assumed i was taking a reaction.
Heaved badly at one woman's perfume, my colleagues said it wasn't a nice perfume...but wasn't that bad!!
With hindsight there were some definite signs Blush
Turns out I was 13 weeks!!! That was a shocker Blush

AutumnalTed · 31/12/2017 11:17

Weird pain in my left side and thought I had the flu Grin

lucyanne2308 · 31/12/2017 11:21

It felt a bit like premenstrual symptoms. Sensitive boobs & bloating feeling. I tested four days before my period was due and had a really really faint second line.

MrsMarigold · 31/12/2017 11:43

First time I knew because I could smell dog poo on the pavement 100 yards away. Miscarriage.

Second time just knew - but never felt it was right so never even bothered to work out due dates. Ectopic

Third time I can't remember

Fourth time I knew the day I conceived, on holiday but a few days after DH had gone home and I always knew I was having a girl. DD is DH's child.
