Hi all,
I’ve just found out I am pregnant after missing my period yesterday 🙈
I have a few concerns I wondered if anyone could give me some advice/reassurance on. So we were not actively trying for another baby and in the last couple of weeks I’ve had the worst cold/throat infection where I’ve been taking naproxen and cocodamol also things like throat sweets etc. Do you think this would have any affect on the baby?
Many thanks in advance

Xx

No it'll be fine. Baby takes two weeks after ovulation to implant and it takes weeks longer to start sharing your blood supply. So don't worry about it.

Now you know you're pregnant start following the guidelines so you're ready for when it does matter.

Congratulations!

I don’t know about naproxen as I never take it (best bet is to read the label). Cocodamol is used in pregnancy and throat sweets are just sugar really. But if you didn’t know you were pregnant it’s too soon really to matter much anyway. I drank three bottles of wine over the weekend before I found out I was pregnant!

No, I'm in the third trimester and taking both. Consultant is aware.
