I'm 32 weeks now and my left wrist has been really itchy these past 2 days, just wondered if anyone else has experienced this please? Is it anything to worry about?

Yes!! I've had it for a month now and nobody has any idea what it is, it drives me crazy, especially at night. I'm only 14weeks and just get told it's an allergy of some kind, some ladies on here have suggested it could be puppps

Oooh I get that sometimes! Even when not pregnant tho. I find steroid cream helps.

Speak to midwife or doctor but in meantime you can get an emollient cream that's non steroid called Dermol- I use it on myself and toddler due to hives and works really well. It's also a soap substitute so can be used wet or dry.

Thankyou all, yes if it keeps up I defnitley will speak to doctor about it. I'm starting to wonder now whether it could be a reaction to chocolate 🤔 as I just ate a bar and flared back up again, think I'll lay off it and see how it goes!!

It doesn't sound serious but definitely mention any unusual itching to your midwife just be on the safe side. There is something to do with your liver and bile levels being elevated which can cause itching. It is usually confined to your hands a feet though but still no harm in checking!

Please ring your midwife I had this on my body ( not my hands and feet at all ) it turns out it was oc which is too do with your liver and bile acids it can be dangerous to your baby if it goes untreated, they did a blood test and I had the results in less than 24 hours, they monitored the baby on the ctg ( where they listen to the heartbeat and movements ) gave me medication to bring bile levels down, and I was induced at 39 weeks bubba is a healthy 9 weeks old fast asleep snuggled on daddy, don't want to worry you but it's best to get checked out, my liver is back to normal now it's a pregnancy thing. congratulations on your pregnancy xxx

Not so much wrists but my legs have been itching like crazy at night time. No clue what it is but it’s driving me insane. I think your skin is just more sensitive in pregnancy
