Hiya- just a bit of a moan really. Been feeling really odd the last couple of days. Apart from feeling a bit down I keep feeling sick and lightheaded and just generally pants. I haven't been able to sleep for the past couple of weeks due to restless legs so I guess tiredness plays a part (very frustrating as could sleep for England in the day but not pratical as at work!) I know its probably nothing to worry about, so any suggestions on how to make myself feel better will be greatfully received! My poor husband keeps getting his head bitten off!

Go and get a facial or other mum-to-be treatment. The last three months is really hard and you won't get much time for pampering after the baby arrives!

Go swimming, it will clear your head, you'll feel refreshed and excersise is a mood booster. (says the lardy cow who doesn't excersise )

put your feet up and do a bit of online shopping!

Get your doctor to sign you off work due to exhaustion? A week off, snoozing and watching rubbish daytime tv might be just the ticket? I would walk over hot coals for a week off right now!

Hi Princesspowersparkle.

I haven't been feeling down or odd, just in a cannot be bothered to go to work mood due to the long days lasting even longer as so want to be on maternity leave and nearer the end of the pregnancy! I went today to my doctor and was signed off a week.

I think you should go and do the same. Being pregnant takes it all out of you and you know when your body needs a rest.

Hope you feel a little better soon.

hi
i'm almost exactly at the same stage as you (28 weeks today) and have also had a few bad days. Maybe this is the turning point between second and third trimester kicking in? Like you I'm finding it hard to sleep -keep having to get up to go to the toilet- and feel moody and crabby.
And I really can't be bothered with work - and i've still got ten weeks to go before my maternity leave starts.
Getting your doctor to sign you off sounds a good idea. If that's not an option, how about planning little treats for yourself? buy a really good TV series on DVD and put your feet up and watch an episode or two every night..(desperate housewives/24/whatever)..or what about a pregnancy massage?
hope you feel better soon...

Thanks girls. Have a holiday in Devon booked in just under 3 weeks and theres a spa nearby, so will book myself in for a nice pregnancy massage then! I've taken the day off tomorrow so will just rest and sleep while I can.
Thanks again xxx

Hello Princess ! Hope you're having a nice day off? I totally empathise with you - my get up and go has got up and gone!!! Also, I've been very hormonal lately. I'm only 18+3 but I found that a lovely pampering session helps - have a bath by candlelight and put on a face mask, have a shave etc. If you're feeling physically sick, perhaps you could treat yourself to a few of the foods you know you can manage or even enjoy?

Take care

Hi PLP!
Had a nice lay in today and I actually slept last night which was fantastic!! Feel loads better today- its amazing what sleep will actually do! I'm just gonna sit here on the sofa, watching rubbish day time TV and eating Angel Delight (had a fancy for it yesterday!). Only 6 weeks left at work now so if I can get through that I'll be happy!
How are you doing today?

Hiya PPS!

I'm so pleased you got some sleep, you're right it can make all the difference!

I'm cool - DS is on an inset day so I'm working from home with said crappy tv in the background! It's his birthday tomorrow so I'm all emotional remembering that this time 13 years ago I was in labour - strange thought considering I'm pg again!

Only 6 weeks of work to go - that's great! I can't wait to go on maternity leave!

Hope you've turned a corner but feel free to give me a shout if you ever feel low again...

PLP xxx

Thanks PLP! If you ever need a listener give me a shout too! Enjoy your day and Happy Birthday to your son! XXX
