3rd day in the hospital, fed up!

So I’ve been induced and am awaiting for a bed on the labour ward to have my waters broken. It was unexpected to say the least, I’d gone in to check baby was ok after I slipped on Thursday and was told my blood pressure was high and was nothing to worry about.... next minute I’m being told they want to induce me and I needed to stay!!!

I was due 26th so not that far off, but the pessary worked and am just awaiting a bed on the labour ward. Im so fed up and tired from barely any sleep and worry about everything. It’s just the unknown and I just don’t know if they’ll break my waters tonight or tomorrow now 😞

I had such bad contractions yesterday but they weren’t regular enough, and now I’m just having contractions without the pain?!

I just can’t wait for this to be over with and my little boy to be here ☺️

Oh I'm sorry @user1494270143 that's rubbish. Have you at least got your bag and supplies with you?

At least you'll always have a good story to tell your LO about their arrival.

Oh blimey! Fingers crossed it’s all quick now and soon you’ll be looking at your baby and heading for the car to take him home.

Yeah I’ve got all my stuff thank goodness, it’s just the waiting around that’s driving me mad and making me more nervous!

Very true, you just cannot plan anything I was so adamant I would be having him in January the thought of him coming early never crossed my mind haha! @clareb83

Any chance of sleeping? I know hospitals are loud but can you do what I do on flights: just close your eyes and kind of think relaxing go to sleep thoughts. I find it's not real sleep but quite restful and time passes quicker.

Good idea, I will do that and see how I get on. Definitely doesn’t look like I’m going into labour ward for my waters breaking any time soon 😒 so need to rest while I still can 😂 hope you have a lovely Christmas anyway! Xx
