Hi, has anyone ever had a negative test when they have been late on their period, say 3 days?

You will get replies saying yes. Wait a day or two test again and repeat until you get your period or a positive.

False negatives are common. False positives are not.

I have. Did one at 4 days. BFN. Did another at 6 days - BFP!

Ok so my last period started 20th November and still no sign of it. I wouldn't really say I've got any pregnancy symptoms but there's still no sign of this period. It's usually pretty regular.

Remember to try with first pee of the day and probably after Xmas to give it a few days. You may consider yourself to be pregnant until a BFP or period so treating yourself as is a good guide.

Could also be time of year and stress etc, we all miss or are late for other reasons too.

I hate the not knowing. It's probably just late though.

Is it worth me taking another test tmrw or should I be waiting longer? Now 35 days since last period start date.

Why not? If you've got a test.

I've started on day 36 before but I have quite large cycles.

I had negatives for 4 weeks with DS 🤦‍♀️ had to have a scan at 9 weeks for an unrelated issue and the sonographer checked him over and dated him to the same date I had. Apparently sometimes the hormones aren't strong enough

I've taken another and it's negative but still no period as yet.

Give it a few more days then give it another go OP.

Still not here. Maybe I've missed an ovulation or something.

Sometimes our bodies are just funny. I had a two month cycle once about five years ago when I am always 27-29 day cycle. No reason (stress etc) just weird.

Are you usually very regular? I tested positive when I was 4 days late, (I didn't test before that) but I had so many symptoms that I already knew I was pregnant. With my first pregnancy I had no symptoms at all except late period so I didn't test until I was 3 weeks late. You could try different make of pregnancy test and do first thing in the morning.

Yes I am usually regular. I was late once but then AF came. Not this late though.

@Ijustlovefood maybe it would be worthwhile seeing your gp if this isnt normal for you they can do a blood test and check your hormone levels

AF arrived this morning. At least now I know.
