8 weeks pregnant

Hi all,
I've recently found out I'm pregnant ! (Yay!)
We think I am around 8 weeks... but with my extremely irregular periods it was really hard to tell, thankfully- I was a little crazy while TTC and I've written every bodily issue down so I can kind of go back in record... which I thought was great but my doctor looked at me like I was mad!
I had a bit of a negative experience with my doctor, explained I wasn't 100% sure on conception date and she didn't say much! Awaiting my hospital letter to get a scan which I'm guessing will be mid January with the Christmas period well and truly upon us.. it seems like a long wait! Sad

I just wanted to know some peoples 8 week pregnant feelings.. because I feel too good to be 8 weeks along!
I have really sore boobs, huge nipples, but other than that I'm feeling ok! I'm not overly tired, some people say they couldn't keep their eyes open and I'm just not feeling that yet. I'm actually struggling to sleep even when I am tired! I'm totally off chocolate / sweet things. I'm just really shocked I'm not lying on the bathroom floor with my head in the toilet to be honest.

After my disappointing and unhelpful doctors appointment and now the really long wait for the hospital letter I just wanted a little reassurance off you ladies and how you were all feeling around the first trimester?
I'm also noticing I have a bump which seems impossible at this stage! I'm 5ft 8 and usually straight up and down - no boobs, flat stomach so maybe that's why there's more dramatic changes to my body so early?

I am 8 weeks 4 days and feeling pretty good today. Most mornings I feel utterly rubbish till lunchtime (no vomiting yet but have nausea, very achey muscles and tirdness) - I liken it to waking up with a hangover everyday!
I have my first midwife appointment on Jan 3rd and then assume I'll hear about a scan after that - seems ages.
I haven't put on any weight according to my scales but my tummy is more prominant than before.

*tiredness

@GemmaLL thanks for replying. It's nice to hear someone around the same as me! I also haven't told my family yet so I just wanted a little vent on my feelings! Lol.
Maybe I'm just lucky so far.... I mean my doctor said "there is plenty of time for sickness" but I'm just so surprised I'm not floored by it as I always assumed I would be!

Haven't stopped eating either! Perfect time of the year for us to be pregnant eh?
Congrats xx

I’m currently 11+6 weeks and other than slightly sore nipples and very tired I haven’t had any other symptoms, had a scan Tuesday and healthy heartbeat and tiny baby wriggling about. Every pregnancy is different 😊

I had no symptoms at 8 weeks really (maybe a bit of nausea) but did bloat. The bloating then went down and I didn’t get a bump really for ages. I also had very irregular cycles but knew the day I ovulated as I was doing opks. Otherwise I really wouldn’t have known either!

Congratulations!!!

Everyone is different in pregnancy. I am feeling way more nauseous today than I did 2 days ago, it's fluctuated a bit! Apart from the nausea and tiredness setting in a bit more in the last few days, I'm alright! Suppose it's lucky! I've had a scan and seen the heartbeat so all is ok. Enjoy not feeling bad Smile

Congrats to you too! Yeah trying to keep pregnancy secret over Christmas is not easy Grin I am a fairly big drinker normally so I have had to tell more people than I'd like to at this early stage because people would guess as I'm not drinking!

GemmaLL · 24/12/2017 14:41

But yeah I have been enjoying all the xmas food! Grin

@GemmaLL I know! We're telling my family tomorrow, there's noway I could do a Christmas dinner prosecco free without people suspecting me! Haha.

@CherryVicky29 @PinkAvocado @Dorabean
Thanks for your replies! Makes me feel a lot better! I know this time next week I could be feeling very different, so I'll appreciate this while I can! Lol. Xx
