I thought i m/c 4 weeks ago but I have just done a test and got a faint positive
Is it possible? Could I still be pregnant? I have been bleeding for 4 weeks so assumed I wasnt.
HELP!

Aw, so sorry you're going through a hard time. Did you see a doctor at any stage to confirm the miscarriage? Has the bleeding been heavy or spotting? Some women do bleed a lot in early pregnancy.

If you did miscarry, it does say on the test instructions that a recent miscarriage can affect the results because the pregnancy hormone may still be present in your body.

I know it's not much help, but I'd wait a day or two, then test again, and if it's still positive go to your GP or EPU.

How far ywere you when you m/cd?
I had a very early m/c (5 weeks) in Feb, then got my BFP 4 weeks after (but I know my HCG were virtually nil by the time I started to m/carry. Am now 9 weeks pg

Can I ask, was the test kit you bought at the cheaper end of the market, or the more expensive. I only say this because I bought a dirt cheap one from Sainsbury, and although the test was correct (I was pregnant), the line was very, very faint.

So sorry to hear of your mc - they are awful. It is possible that this is a new pg, but you really need to go and see your GP - it could be left over hormones, if your mc is not complete. I had a very early mc at Christmas, but then had a -ve pg test, so knew that when I got a BFP 4 weeks later, it was a new pg. I'm now 17 weeks.

Good luck

Was sent for a scan yesterday and there is no pregnancy there...just a "sizeable clot and blood".
Feel foolish to think there could have been really. thanks for all the posts x
