Did anyone else experience the feelings of "is everything ok with my baby". Im 16 weeks and this is the first time iv felt like this. Iv got a really bad head ache from a chest and throat infection and struggled going to work for two days with it and so i booked in to check the heart beat and everything was fine... did anyone else worry about their baby being ok?

All the time. And it doesn't stop when they are born!

Good luck OP

Yep. I think it's fairly normal...

I had a kidney infection when I was 8 weeks...
Baby was fine.

I fell over at 30 weeks...
Baby was fine.

I ate a slightly pink steak...
Baby was fine.

But it didn't stop me worrying until the day he came out! Still have the worry tbh and he's 4 months....

We have asked for the heart beat at every MW appointment. we were also lucky to get an extra scan at 28 week to look for a disorder that runs in the family and also we are part of a study so i had an MRI scan last week. I keep realising i havent felt him kick and then he will suddenly start disco dancing (or what ever he is doing) in their.

It is the constant weight or responsibility knowing that you are the one with full responsibility. everything you do, eat drink etc etc may have some effect. its a lot of pressure that is put on pregnant women when actually there is often not a lot you can do other then be as sensible as you can.

Wait until 22-24 weeks or so. when he or she starts kicking it is very reassuring (or something else to worry about) :) good luck
