I had my bloods a couple of days ago as my blood pressure was a little higher than she would have liked. Got my blood results back today and the midwife said that she's coming out tomorrow to my house to check my blood pressure and take bloods again. She also advised me to call up triage if I feel unwell such as headaches, blurred vision, swollen feet or hands. I've been tested for pre eclampsia before in this pregnancy. I'm 40 weeks tomorrow. Just a little worried about baby now but he's moving away absolutely fine.

It being the end of your pregnancy is a good thing as if they have any concerns they will whip that bambino out quicker than anything so try not to worry Thanks

Take it as it comes and take the midwives advice. If it does turn out to be PE you're in a really good position - full term so no need to worry about steroids and prematurity. Good luck!

Thank you both for the kind words. Your right he's full term now so will see what the midwife says tomorrow. X

Hi I'm currently going through this at nearly 40 weeks. You can get something called pregnancy induced hypertension towards the end which can send your blood pressure scatty. I was sent to hospital for monitoring and they said if it does not go down i'l be kept in and given meds to reduce it. It slowly went down to a safe level enough to go home now I'm being monitored nearly every other day.
It sucks but just make sure you have everything ready regarding your hospital bag and be prepared.
They worry about pre eclampsia and they will constantly look for proteins in wee and raised blood pressure and so on.
Hopefully your levels are normal and they will keep an eye on you but try not to worry just be prepared with your stuff Flowers

My blood pressure Has been a little up and down the last month or so. She did say it wasn't quite high enough for me to get sent to the hospital when I was in the other day. I'm glad she's coming out to mine they are keeping on top of it. My hospital bag is ready to go.

I just can't quite believe it's my due date today either! Been the quickest 40 weeks!!

Hope all goes well for you @hannabee123 x

Happy due date!!! Mines the 26th 😁 not feeling like much will happen though!

Yeah the midwife explained that towards the end of pregnancy (mostly 1st pregnancy) blood pressure can start to go really scatty. They will tell you to call them asap if you feel funny and keep a check on you until the baby makes an appearance.

I hope it all goes well glad your prepared :D that's all you can do because you never know if it shoots up and they might get the baby out if they can't stabilise. Don't worry though they will do what they can to reduce your BP first. Hope little one makes an appearance soon!

I'm the same think he's too comfy in there. Yeah my midwife is always telling me to call up if I'm feeling funny. I generally feel ok!

I'm not even sure what time she's coming I'm getting a call at some point, I really should get dressed just incase! Me and my 6 year old are cuddled up in our pjs at the moment 😄

In safe hands with the midwifes so wiil see what today will bring! Good luck to you too lovely xx @hannabee123
