Low PAPP A levels in 12 week results

Hi I'm stressing out hugely with the results of my 12 week tests. I'm currently 16 weeks pregnant but at my midwife appointment yesterday she noted that my PAPP A levels were low at 0.39. It means my placenta may not work as well in the third trimester and can result in a small baby or worse. All other results came back fine including low risk for DS.

Has anyone else had this? My midwife reassured me they will just monitor me more with extra scans at the end and induce early if needed. I'm so scared as this pregnancy has been hard from the beginning. My first was so straightforward compared to this.

I had this with my first pregnancy and have just been told it's low again with my second. I had extra scans to check baby with my first and get ended up at 7 1/2 pounds at 39 weeks. I know a lot of friends who ended up with a low score! I wouldn't worry to much but maybe have a chat with your midwife and see if you can have extra scans in your 3rd trimester?

I will be have three extra scans in the 3rd trimester. Hope you feel ok?

I had this and had three extra scans I think; DS was born bang on the 50th centile, he was shown to be in line for growth so was born at 40w without intervention.

He is now a healthy two year old, quite petite but not through any issue with his gestation.

I'm 35 weeks today and have had low PAPP-A - mine came out 0.41. My other chromosome tests were all low risk.

I got 2 extra scans at 30 and 34 weeks and baby is growing along a perfect curve. Pregnancy has been otherwise textbook, I'm still on track for a midwife led birth.

When I got the papp-a letter I freaked out too, but please try not to worry! You and baby will be fine Flowers

Thank you that puts me a little more at ease. I have got extra scans booked so I guess I can only take it one scan at a time. Ive just never heard of this being picked up before.
