Morning All,
We move from a rented house to our narrowboat next week, we're mid fitout and i'm freaking out. We have insulation in and heating, but no electricity other than extension leads and still have wooden panels to put up to hide the insulation. We have no water, no gas, etc. We do have a porta potti.... I've just found out i'm pregnant as well. Tell me it'll all be ok please? It's just my partner, I and out two dogs. We have no friends or family where we live as moved up from London to Midlands last year. We only have my mum as family anyway and she is on holiday for the move. Not sure how we're going to move stuff because i cannot lift most of it anyway!
Also, i've spent the first hour of work in tears so far. Hormones are a b*tch. Im in a senior role in HE, manager is a cow. I have M.E./CFS and she really has no idea how tired i get and pregnancy isn't helping. Anyway, as part of my role i have to do timetabling and it SUCKS big time. It's so stressful and it pretty much feels like additional item to my actual role and it's just been announced all people around the university in my role (6 of us) will no longer do timetabling from end of FEB onwards as they now realise it's too much. Well until then i still need to sort the sodding timetable out for semester 2. People seem to think i press a button and sort it, they don't see the endless problems, or additional hours i work to get some sort of functional timetable (which students still complain about). I've had to hole myself up in my office today and haven't been to any christmas lunches due to sodding timetabling.
Sorry for the rant but i really hate timetabling and am worried about the move.
