Am I Pregnant

Me and my boyfriend had sex on the 13/12/17 ever since then I have been feeling nauseous and very tired I've also been urinating a lot more frequently than usual. It was my first time and we didn't use any form of contraception. I've already taken a pregnancy test which came back negative should I take another one in the coming weeks, is there any chance I could be pregnant? Thanks

Unless you were already pregnant, you would not be experiencing pregnancy symptoms 6 days later

SparklyMagpie · 19/12/2017 22:59

Just read it was your first time

Are you quite young OP?

You need to get on some form on contraception

SparklyMagpie · 19/12/2017 23:00

Also not using contraception can result in a pregnancy but no way in 6 days would you know

I think you should speak to your GP

EsmeeMerlin · 19/12/2017 23:06

If you have had a negative pregnancy test then for the moment no you are not pregnant. However not using contraception of course means you could get pregnant so you would need to wait for a missed period to test again.

I would talk to your gp about contraception as soon as you can.

It was in the spare of the moment it wasn't planned none of us had anything on us at that moment of course we'll use protection in the future.

6 days after sex is too early to show on a pregnancy test and also too early to tell in terms of symptoms.

You'll need to test again when your period is due or when it doesn't show up (if that's the case) and even then you may not have any symptoms.

Hulaballoo · 20/12/2017 06:52

You'll have to wait and see but with no contraception then yes it's a definite possibility.... Just recommend that there's always a condom hiding in a bag somewhere for the spur of the moment times as it's often the way. No contraception there's always a pregnancy and sti risk x

Too early to show symptoms, but you should take the test when you miss a period (or 2+ weeks after sex).

If you’re young here’s a service you can contact for help, there are others like it, they also give out free condoms (lots of them) so get stocked up Smile

BigBaboonBum · 20/12/2017 09:06

And it’s totally anonymous

Mrstobe90 · 20/12/2017 18:00

If you ever have unprotected sex and are not looking to get pregnant, you can take the morning after pill.
Not too often though.

PinkAvocado · 20/12/2017 18:03

As others have said, don’t worry too much about the nausea etc as it would be too early for pregnancy symptoms. You could test from about the 27th ish and be fairly confident about the test result.

As others have said, it's too early and you'll have to wait and see if your period arrives on time - do you know when it is due?
Your symptoms could very possibly be down to a urine infection, which can sometimes happen after sex. You need to get that checked out by your GP as soon as you can - left untreated the infection could end up in your kidneys and make you very ill. You also might have a drop in clinic in your area where you can have a chat to someone about your symptoms and stock up on condoms!

Ayla0000 · 20/12/2017 19:05

My period is due next week

Do try and see your gp or nurse so that they can check for a urine infection.
