Has anyone lost weight in early pregnancy (on purpose)

I have just found out I am pregnant again (yay) but am already feeling depressed at the sheer size I was when heavily pregnant with DS.

I gained SO much weight and would really like to avoid it - but yet again Im falling in to the trap of eating often because I feel really sick if I dont.

I'm also bridesmaid in about 7 weeks and need to be able to fit the dress!

Obviously I wouldnt do anything that would harm the baby or me, especially as I lost a baby at christmas but if I could keep on top of the weight gain that would be fabulous!

Pecka massive congrats to you

Do what you need foodwise in the first few weeks when you feel like poo (if you do this time not all pregs are the same)

Maybe try and find some healthy alternatives and get them made in advance so you can grab when you need? peel some carrots, chop some nice fruit up, get some nice low fat yoghurt (rachels vanilla YUM)

Congratulations! Slimming World I think accept pregnant women (Weight Watchers don't). But that's perhpas too drastic. Meanwhile, you could try snacking on fruit when you feel like eating or having a cup of (herbal) tea instead.

rice cakes, dried fruit, water biscuits are good and filling, and not high in calories

i would not look to lose weight, but to eat healthily !

basically though, you know that if you starve , baby will leech everything out of you , and you will feel like crap, so best to eat sensible food, little and often

also, make sure you drink lots of fluids, water and herb and fruit tea, as often we mistake hunger for thirst

but , your body is going through amazing change s to nurture and grow this baby, first trimeseter is so vital, so dont; try to diet

make sure you are taking your folic acid etc

I did, but only because i was told to by my midwife

I just made sure i ate as healthily as possible, cut out the snack/junk foods and upped the fruit and Veg.

I also started walking.

Its really not a good idea to physically "diet" while pregnant, but you can change your food intake to maximise the healthy food intake so you naturally burn calories/body fat.
