Negative tests but all pregnancy symptoms

Hi

Has anyone else experienced a late period, all the pregnancy symptoms but negative tests?
I was due yesterday and for the last 7 days I’ve had mild cramping on and off, lower back ache, nausea, headaches, lack of energy (I’ve been sleeping during the day which I never do!) and I’ve had the occasional bit of light pink discharge/spotting but only when I’ve wiped, nothing on a pad.
I took a Sainsbury’s own test two days ago and today, both negative. I just took a Clearblue Digital and that says not pregnant too.

I just feel pregnant!

We’ve been trying since February and I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks in the summer which messed up my cycles but last month was my first normal 28 day cycle since so I thought I was back to normal with it all.
Feeling very confused and disappointed as I was sure I’d get a BFP today :(

Those symptoms are what I get every month. But, you may be testing to early, I didn't get positive test straight away, I had to wait a few days, even then it was very faint so there's still hope for this month. Good luck Smile

@user1485778793 I really hope so! I’m so sick of getting negative tests since I had my m/c in the summer. We’re so desperate for our second baby and had conceived straight away with our first so this year has been pretty tough with TTC. Fingers crossed for a positive result soon!

I didn't get my BFP until 5 days after my period was due, whereas with my first pregnancy I got it the day afterwards. The sonographer said it was because this time round I must have conceived later in my cycle.

@Catra this is so good to hear and makes me feel a bit more positive about the whole thing. I had some (sorry - TMI alert!) mucus discharge today like egg white which I’ve read can be an early pregnancy symptom so I’m really crossing everything that this is a pregnancy and not just a late period. I’ve had mild cramping for 7 days now which I’ve only ever had once before just before I found out I was pregnant with my first. Fingers and toes crossed!

Still no period and I’ve been off food all day. Fingers crossed! Going to try doing another test tomorrow. Just want to know now!

Well I finally got my BFP this morning but an hour later I started getting stronger cramps and started to bleed 😢 Feeling pretty worried as this is exactly what happened in the summer at the start of my miscarriage so I’m fearing the worst! Hopefully it’s just implantation bleeding but I think it’s a bit too heavy to be that.

When I bleed at 10 weeks a doc said to me that as long as its less that ur normal prion and no clots over the size of a 50p but I would get checked out, I got mine checked out baby was ok but either way is better to know I think x

I would wait until Atleast day 5 to test. Day 1 is a little early I would say

Thanks @Firstchild7 I’m going to the doctors today so hopefully they can give me some reassurance it’s all ok! It’s lighter than a normal period and only really tiny clots. I think it’s just bringing it all back from my miscarriage so I went straight into panic mode!

The doctors told me it’s too early to do anything (which I knew anyway as I’m only just over 4 weeks). Just got to wait to see if I still have a BFP tomorrow and if the bleeding stops. It’s just a waiting game which is lovely just before Christmas! 😢

@mummyjl15 I had this with my first pregnancy. I was late but didn't get positive tests. Got positive tests at about 18dpo and then started bleeding 2 days later. Not to scare you but I did miscarry that time.

It's important to log this as an early Mc (if that is what happens and I really hope it doesn't) as they will get you in for a clinic after a 3rd. Much love xx

Hi @Firstchild7 I’m not great, I’m pretty sure I’ve miscarried again :( the bleeding didn’t get any heavier but I’ve passed 3 very large clots today which based on my experience in the summer is a miscarriage.
So gutted! And what awful timing with it being Christmas. We’re so ready for our second baby. I’m just praying this miscarriage is over fairly quick so we can try again
