due sometime in late november/early december (some dispute as to when atm). i have already gone from being size 10/12 to just squeezing into size14 trousers. i have awful thrush which my mum reassures me she suffered from throughout pg. am a bit worried as i haven't really had sore boobs at all and everyone says this is a major thing in pregnancy, although i never suffer from this around the time of period.
so what else can i expect during my pregnancy?!
sorry, needed a bit of a moan

congratulations!

I never had sore boobs either.

I had thrush that was treated with 7 day course of canestan.

Hi there. I'm also due about early Dec and the only symptoms I've had is sore boobs and a slightly thickening waist, like period time. Oh yes, and thrush also but I'm prone to that anyway. I was so worried about having no morning sickness that I took pg tests for about three weeks.
From what I can gather every pg is different. I spoke to a friend who is 12 wks and the only symptom she's had is a tinny taste in her mouth and she's had her scan and everything's fine.
I would just say to enjoy now because the sore boobs hurt and you'll probably get it later on anyway.

congratulations beachbunni. haven't had any morning sickness either but i'm eating pretty much constantly at the moment! i got a free box of krispy kreme doughnuts yesterday (12 in a box) and scoffed about 8 of them

Oops how rude, I forgot to say congratulations. I got a family sized victoria sponge with fresh cream on Saturday, added more cream and custard on it and ate about 3/4 of it. Don't think I'm gonna fit into my size 8 clothes ever again but strangely don't care!

Congratulations!

Let me see now.....stretch marks, the feeling of having a russian cossack dance troop having a kick boxing session in your tummy, tap dancing on your bladder, not being able to lean over due to a bum under your ribs, everything you need in the supermarket being on the lower shelves so you have to 'climb' your way down the shelves then haul yourself up again!

The sheer amusement as the baby kicks the cat on your lap. Watching little ripples move over your tummy and trying to imagine what bit of the little person it is. The knowledge that your body somehow knows how to grow another human and get all the bits in the right places. Those days when you do feel glowing and womanly and wonderful (there are some...ok maybe just an hour or so when you've just had a nap in the bath!). The ability to eat a million meals a day.

Sure I'll think of more! (by the way mine was a due December 06 baby, time sure does go by at an amazing rate!)

notquitemarried - you have loads to look forward to, like looking blooming and having a lovely baby bump.
I love feeling the baby kick me and move around, its an amazing feeling.
I managed to gain weight quickly, well gain a bump quickly, i'm only 17 weeks and someone asked me when i was due, as though i was ready to pop i was gutted and thrilled all at once.

Never suffered from Thrush but apparently, good quality cotton knickers are worth wearign rather than fancy lazy efforts.
I didn't get sore boobs until about a week ago and the same in my first pregnancy. but not everyone has then. Its not a major thing, it just feels major if you have them.

You can expect a long hot summer!!! i'm dreading it and i'd love a spot of sunbathing any other time, but i was pregnant last summer too and i just hid indoors, was too hot.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Indith-you've made me cry thinking of all the good times when pg with DS1 & 2-I'm about 8 weeks now and feeling rough (but trying not to moan as I've had 3 m/cs in a year and want to feel grateful for feeling like s**t!), but you've made me feel really happy

notquitemarried · 22/04/2007 21:27

congratulations to everyone especially for you jossiejump. and thanks. i know i shouldn't complain, i'm really excited as well
