TMI pic shown, 5 weeks this colour blood ?

Hi Is this normal to bleed this colour at 5-6 weeks I had a early scan last week, everything was normal for what should be then, had scan due to on off bleeding, I’ve had some pink, bits of red and now this colour this has been on and off for 3 weeks, midwife said it could be implantation bleeding, surely that wouldn’t last that long though????? TIA X

Hi Kelly, unfortunately everything about early pregnancy is uncertain. The bleeding could be implantation, or from a small bleed in the uterus, or it could be a problem connected to miscarriage. Are you having painful cramps?

Nope I’ve not had any cramps etc just your normal stretching feeling in pregnancy, I have had two babies so recognise the stretch, also sickness seems to be getting stronger as the days go too xx

Call your EPU and go for a scan. It's probably nothing but you won't be able to relax till you know. I had heavy bleeds, and watering brown spotting like that for the first 12 weeks of my pregnancy.

I have a scan booked for 28th so just got to sit tight :( xx
