Maxi-Cosi Car Seats in a Ford Focus??

Hello! Does anyone have a ford focus and know whether its OK to use an EasyBase in it (ie not Isofix)? ITs not tottally clear on the maxi-cosi website, it seems to depend on what model of Focus you have as to whether it has been tested or not, but the 'coding' of the different types of cars doesnt seem to match what we have. Anyone with any experience? Thanks!

what year is your Focus?
So long as it's not a C-max (which I think has sportier seats that are too tilted for the base to work) I should think you'd be fine.
Best bet is to go to a big Motehrcare / Halfords / Toys R Us and get them to check the fit for you... then if it fits say you need to think about it and buy it wherever you like.

Thanks MrsBadger.
Its a 2004 model. (on the website, it says OK for 'Ford Focus' and ok for 'Ford Focus 2' but untested for 'Ford Focus 2000' and 'Ford Focus 2001' - not sure where our 2004 model fits in that?!)
Thanks for suggesstion of trying there - will do that.
Do you (or anyone else) know if its just as safe to use the cabrio without any base and just with the seatbelt?

not sure - Which only tested it with the base. The Britax Cosy Tot did well both with and without its base...

yes maxi cosi cabrio have tested well in the past before the base was introduced.
