Hi..

I'm 21 almost 22 with no family history of fertility problems on both mine and my partners side. So I believe I should be okay fertility wise but after 7 months of TTC I got a little worried and used OPK strips for the first time to see if I am 100% ovulating.

So something really strange is happening with my OPK's this month. It's the first month I've used them after TTC for 7 months after coming off my pill (Cerazette).

I took an OPK on:
Cycle day 10 NEGATIVE
Cycle day 11 FAINT POSITIVE
Cycle day 11 later - STRONGER POSITIVE
Cycle day 12 - POSITIVE
Cycle day 13 - WEAKER POSITIVE / N
didn't take anymore until
Cycle day 18 - VERY STRONG POSITIVE X2

That was a 5-6 day gap now I don't understand what this means. The past 2 days I've been very very crampy, gassy. The cramp has been quite painful and uncomfortable, quite close to those at AF.

I've read that some people have had success stories from using OPKs during TTW and then took a pregnancy test and got a BFP. I'm trying not to get my hopes up but after 7 months, 8 including this one it's difficult not to.

Overall though I'm so happy that I am ovulating for sure and I can rest my mind with that at least. It makes DTD a lot easier and funner knowing that it will work eventually.

Any stories on success stories of OPKS would be great. Will attach a photo of my test strips.

Thanks ♥️

From memory its not like a pregnancy test where a faint pos is a pos.
It's only the strong positives that count as ovulation, where it's dark as or darker than the control line. So only the bottom two are positives.

You can get light positive on other days as hormones are in your system anyway, but double check the pack, it will explain better than me.

I second that. You're almost there. OP the TTC board may be more helpful tbh? Worth a punt there....

I used these and I'd say in a day or so you'll ovulate. I got my Bfp first time using these. Good luck xx

Thanks so much everyone. I had no idea faints didn't class as positives glad I know that now. We've still DTD enough the past few days when I thought I'd already ovulated so there was no actual "tying". I really hope this is my month! Xx

Hi I'm approx 12dpo and I took a random test this morning not my first wee, after drinking a red bull and I seen a faint line for the first time in 8 months. I have just took a second test (bottom) and it has showed more visible. Lines showed after 3 minutes of taking the test. Are these definitely not evap lines?
